Re: Ultimate Reason PC Build
Just to follow up... My new computer is a beast. So far, the only thing that pushes Reason to the limit is the Fab Filter Pro L 2 x2, both set to 32x oversampling. I'll keep y'all posted if I run into any other roadblocks. For now, I'm very happy. https://i.imgur.com/lJILgUp.jpg Edit: don't worry, I...

Re: Reason Drum Kits RE in the shop!
Well, as of now, I have both RDK and AD2 - They're both great but I love that RDK is inside of an RE. Saves me the VST trouble AND more I love the CV outs for sidechaining. The audio outs really, really puts it miles above AD2. you can send AD outs to tracks too, using the VST outs on the back. it’...

Re: eXpanse FM vs Serum FM
Sounds like you're doing it correctly. Just control the mod amount with envelope, automation, etc. So when you set up FM for osc1, it's pulling that modulation from what's going on in osc2? If Osc1 is a sine wavetable and Osc2 is a complex distorted wavetable, Osc1 FM will be based on Osc2? It's co...

eXpanse FM vs Serum FM (Solved!)
So I love eXpanse and tend to use it more than Serum since it's an RE. In Serum, doing "FM from B" is really easy. That's when osc A is FM modulated by osc B. How do I set up eXpanse so osc 1 is modulated by osc 2? I see the option for FM as a mod for osc 1 but it doesn't look like it's using osc 2 ...

Re: Reason Drum Kits RE in the shop!
I have Addictive Drums 2 - is this similar? I can't afford all of their expansion packs!!
I'm on the fence about buying this- I prefer RE's to VST's tho!

Re: If Reason runs perfect for you (with VST), post your specs! :)
Well my new computer parts were delivered today. Intel i7 9700k, 32gb ddr4 3000, 1tb ssd, scarlett 2i2 - I'll keep y'all posted on how my tracks run. The current one that is giving me problems is a mastering project. It's just a 3 minute audio file of my exported song with iZotope exciter, imager, F...

Waves Renaissance Bass vs Bass Enhancer RE
I already have Bass Enhancer from Red Rock in my RE subscription. However, Rennaissance Bass from Waves is 29$ on sale. Would the difference be noticeable? Is Ren Bass worth it? Also, Bass Rider is on sale. It just keeps bass levels in check without a compressor. Curious if you have thoughts on that...

Re: Discover all the Yamaha FM synths with PX7 and WBF 8Z
Awesome! I downloaded that massive free refill with the PX7 patches from Prop earlier this week.... They're so unorganized that I went nuts trying to find a bass vs a synth, etc. It sounds like 8Z organized all of those. I'll download it tonight - and if I like it, I'll definitely pay for this. Than...

Re: Reason Slow Performance - when is optimisation coming?
I just ordered the parts to build a new PC. Reason performance being the #1 ... reason. Really hoping I don't run into performance issues on an i7 9700k/32gb. My late 2015 Macbook Pro just can't handle my large projects anymore and I prefer to keep midi over bouncing for performance. To be clear, n...

Re: NoteRepeat Player in Shop
CV In and Out is a must IMO. Just noticed that there IS a CV OUT  This allows to control external devices regarding the defined X/Y position. Did not tried, if it also sends out, if it is disabled. If this works, you have a X/Y pad for free. Set a bitcrusher to get progressively more nut...

Re: Reason Slow Performance - when is optimisation coming?
I'd like to bump this thread to reach the developers again. I have considered buying a new macbook cause I thought the performance issues i'm having are due to my mac getting old. I pretty much only use it for reason so have no other reference, but reason has become slower that's for sure. I don't ...

Re: Phase Issues (Kick/Sub/Layering)
So, I'm working on a song and I wanted to check to see if my kick has any phase issues with the sub. I have sidechain on but they're both still present at times. Which RE/device would be best to achieve this? I have the CorElation Phase Analyzer. I guess my real question is how do I test to see if ...

Re: If Reason runs perfect for you (with VST), post your specs! :)
Unless you are using products like Play or Kontakt you don't need 32gb of RAM. Make sure you remove the page file running with all of that so Windows doesn't write memory to your disk. The ram is more for video editing and stuff like that but I also want to future-proof it. I just want to go for on...

I'm building a new computer... going with the intel 8700k and 32gb of ram. I want to be 100% sure I'm doing the best choices that I can. I'm not going for the 9xxx due to the price. I'm curious what you folks are using and how far you can go before the DSP bars of death.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Suggestions needed on controllers that are very Reason-compatible
I just picked up an Ableton Launchpad 25 and it's lovely. The keys feel really nice and I've had no problem mapping knobs / pads / faders. It lights up when I create a kong and automaps everything. I haven't run into any problems. Previously, I used the Launchkey Mini for about a year with great suc...

Re: Phase Issues (Kick/Sub/Layering)
All above. You can invert the phase with Thor if nothing works or if you dont have any RE for it or you dont want to use the SSL Inv button. I tried in the past the same thing, this guy was talking about. But did oyu noticed, that he has a "out-of-phase(sometimes" sample and a HPF+EQ on it? Do you ...
