Re: VK-1 just got a (paid) update
I also bought last Xmas and see the 'paid update' in the shop. Sadly I also don't get the old vk1 in Reason either! I've just contacted support so hopefully will find out soon

Re: eXpanse, buy or not?
Is it possible to do the same for Europa ? The automation doesn't exist if I hit record and move the envelope stages. BTW Europa also does not provide automation for all ON/OFF parameters which is really strange. Especially if you build some combi patch and want to assign "toggle on/off" for variou...

Re: where do you spend most of your time?
Rack all the way baby! I do wonder if there is a correlation between users that finish more songs and spend more time in the sequencer working on song structure? You should add 'Ableton' as an option. When I do rewire from Live, I still do most of my automations in Reason as it's just so well integr...

Re: eXpanse, buy or not?
But the downside is that you cannot automate attack and decay stages. As I noticed in the Expanse, you can only route envelope rate as modulation destination in the matrix. And then you can control it by MW for example. But it is not the same as automating attack or decay envelope stages. But maybe...

Re: eXpanse, buy or not?
Oh yea its great sounding and probably a must have synth, but what you will notice when trying to sculpt a sound is that expanse dosn't have adsr envelopes. I think the envelopes are based on some iconic hardware where you can put the sustain stage anywhere within the envelope (even before the atta...

Re: Player Device Bundle in shop
We already have vst support and depending on what and how many vst's you run, performance isn't as horrible as some people say. All that being said, these players have a lot of elegance and originality, and I don't see much better replacements from vst world in terms of Reason's workflow. you're co...

Re: Player Device Bundle in shop
They are trying to get us to buy them before they introduce support for MIDI VSTs, thus rendering the RE players somewhat less special. Or is that just wishful thinking from me? hehe We already have vst support and depending on what and how many vst's you run, performance isn't as horrible as some ...

They're for Serum. So they'll load in Europa 'cause they're wavetables?

I've searched and found hundreds of 'serum' wavetables and have loaded them no problems into both Europa and eXpanse

Re: Rob Papen Arps
I don't use arps that much. I can't imagine that the RP Arps are better than the Dual Arps player, though. Are they? It seems like the Dual Arp player would have way more options than any built in synth arps. And if you have the Dual Arps, and the answer is that they are better (I honestly dont kno...

Re: NoteRepeat Player in Shop
Nah...confused again. When editing automation in-line...if I draw in which step on the x-axis I want to trigger, are the value increments (when drawing in) like 100 divided by 6? That is to say...step 1=16.6, step2=33, step 4=50 (roughly speaking) etc... Hope you understand what I mean and can help...

Re: NoteRepeat Player in Shop
Yes, or you can draw in your notes as automation, it sets up 3 lanes for that: note on, x axis, y axis. Howdyou automate the grid? Not really sure what you mean. Sorry. I'm not at computer now but it's either right click, edit automation...or it's right click and choose create track for device? Som...

Re: NoteRepeat Player in Shop
I still not really understand how it can be used (sorry newbie here) Tried trial, so, all what i was able to get this is fast-repeating note of the same key, with different speed of repeating depending on the position of the mouse cursor on the field. Also tried to connect matrix seq with some play...

Re: NoteRepeat Player in Shop
for $9 this is an insta-buy for me. propellerhead's drum sequencer works really well as a gate generator for each of noterepeat's 8 pattern slots, as you can set up a lane in drum sequencer for each noterepeat pattern slot, and take advantage of drum sequencers features like probability, velocity, r...

Re: Going "back" to Rewire
Rewire into ableton is about as seamless as it can be. I love using lives session/clip launcher, and I actually utilize automation lanes in both reason and live at the same time. Having said that, overall I'm spending more time purely in Reason, as it's just naturally faster to get ideas up and runn...

Re: Logic gates & Probability CV generation with stock/free devices
Thor is good for randomization...I use it's step sequencer, set it to curve output, take the curve cv cable to a cv on the combinator where I pick a parameter on another device to effect. Then you tune each knob of the step sequencer to the parameter you want, and run the sequence in random mode. I'...

Re: Reveal Sound Spire (ReSpire) update 1.0.6 is out
My wishlist for the RE is simple, I just want drop down/pop up menus for each window item. Scrolling thru values especially in the mod matrix is a show stopper for me.

Re: Running multiple REASON devices into the FL STUDIO MIXER ..... REASON TO FL STUDIO REWIRED
The way I rewire into ableton live, and should be the same with any other daw, is setup a combinator for each device I want to use, and include a 6ch line mixer in each combinator. Then you gotta flip the racks around and physically connect the stereo outs from each mixer to different master outs in...

This bugs me also. I've resorted to getting in the habit of dragging the new patch across from the browser and dropping it onto the device.

Re: TIPS - Random Note Generator w. Robotic Bean
I will have to demo the step note recorder soon. Cv probably trigger is good for that purpose but it feels obviously not designed for having much fine control over melody. Btw, you're saying you can have rhythmic influence from from step note recorder and Euclid at the same time? That does sound int...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
Reason newbie here. I'm voming over from cubase and ableton to Reason 10 specifically for the rack - it's modularity, synths and fx. 4k support would be nice, but I find myself often needing to rely on Windows zoom even at 1080p on a 24 inch display. It seems actually insane that the most visual of ...
