Re: Convert (accidental) stereo track to mono?

It's just one item on a very long list of things Reason should have if it wants to be taken seriously as an audio and midi editor. Something else you can't do easily is spit a stereo tack into two mono tracks. I routinely record vocals simultaneously with two different mics into a stereo track. Then...

Re: Any way to avoid the log in window w/subscriptions?

I agree 100%. It sucks and it would be a doddle to add an "auto login" check box. It remembers my name and password and I'm happy for it to check online for whatever it needs so just do it and get on with loading the software. More than once have I double clicked to start Reason, gone to make a coff...

Re: What is the lack of REASON?

PH spend too much time on synths and not enough time on DAW imho.
Reason is my favourite but it could be significantly better.

If you pay attention to your inner voice your average should at least be one
I gave this a go and I'm now up to about 0.5. I'll take that.

Re: Do you try before you buy?

It's only a small thing but I really dislike having to press the "log in" button whenever I start Reason with a trial RE so I tend not to try them or buy them any more. TBH now that we have VST the whole RE thing is somewhat less valuable to me. I love that REs are in the rack rather than in a floa...

Re: Want to score some sounds to this?

It's a while since I did any video stuff but I always used to use Cakewalk/Sonar and Cakewalk is now a free download and can be rewired to Reason so that would be my first port of call.

Of course, the problem with rewire now is that you can't use VSTs in Reason. Grrr.

Re: Loop Recording in Reason (using MIDI)

I have to bump this post. I've just started using Reason 10 (new to Reason in general) and been so busy exploring all my new toys that I haven't really gotten into doing any actual work with the sequencer yet. I was mildly shocked / put off when I figured out that this basic functionality STILL IS ...

I guess it also does not help that the hardware that they suggest to control it (the BCR2000) is not manufactured anymore and thus can only be found 2nd hand.
This.

Re: My wishlist for Reason 11

Hi boingy, there is a section called Reason Feature Requests just right above, you might wanna add this thread there or at least ask the moderators to move it in there. If you want the devs to read your thoughts, I believe there would be the right place to express all wishes and feature ideas. I ac...

My wishlist for Reason 11

My wishlist for Reason 11 These suggestions are from a Reason 9.5 viewpoint. 1. Record multiple MIDI takes in a loop. This could be as simple as adding an "auto-alt" button to switch to a new note lane each time around the loop or it could work exactly like the audio recording with a comping view fo...

Re: Reason Drum Kits RE in the shop!

As an owner of the refill I briefly got excited by this. Then I noticed that it needs R10.1 and I'm on R9.5. Ah well, I'm already snowed under with too many drum options I guess. And the reason I'm still on 9.5 is that 10 does not bring me anything I need except multi-lane midi editing and that is n...

I know there are black keys and white keys on a piano :D
What????? Those black things are keys??? How was I supposed to know that??? I thought they were just dividers or finger rests or something.

And why are two of them missing?

Does anyone have it yet?
Can you tell me if it is possible to automate the on/off button exactly on the beat or whether you have to trigger the on/off a little ahead of time like the built-in players? Because that drives me nuts...

Re: If Reason runs perfect for you (with VST), post your specs! :)

The only things that kill my relatively modest PC are Ozone 8 and Kontact. Kontact went in the bin and I use O8 as a standalone post processor, which is actually fine given that it is for mastering.

Just remember the days of Tascam 4 track cassette tapes and be happy.
