upgrading to new mac question
looking to replace my mac trash can. Would getting a mac mini m2 and upgrading reason bring better performance?, there is a lot of conflicting info that upgrading is better, as some VSTs dont yet support newer M2 osx chips. I have tried Reason 10 on a mac studio M2 with loads of ram, and found it's ...

Re: Complex-1 users
thanks for the reply's, might hold off on Complex-1. I did the demo on U-he's Bazille and it's pretty good, still some patches exhibit crackling even if one note is played slowly, wonder if this is a symptom of really complicated patch structure?, as I am on a 2023 M2 mac studio, so no lack of power...

Re: Complex-1 users
I tried Pigments, but found it kinda lacked that strange quality modular can achieve, I also tried Arturia's modular and did not love it either. I really liked Voltage Modulars rack devise Analog5ys but it plays back terribly as a VST for some reason, it gets all harsh and stops working, which lead ...

Complex-1 users
hi, I used the demo for Complex-1 and certain patches really impressed me, but the presets leave a lot to be desired, and while I saw a few patches for sale and a few in the common areas that folks had worked on, they did not seem like they were fully realized. I think the sound design is potentiall...

Re: Volt 2 and recording
thanks, dumb question, but when the volt is set to the in/out, you use it's headphone out to monitor everything coming from reason and the OS?

Volt 2 and recording
Just got a Volt 2, using with reason 10 on os 12.6 my questions, what is a good audio recording input buffer?, when I set the buffer higher it got glitchy, and did not record all notes? also Reason seems to not want to see or remember the audio in preferences, it seems to default to something else, ...

Re: Cherry Audio - GX-80
I have used the CS-80 for a while (3+ years) and the GX-80 to my ear seems more ready to use out of the box, I found the Arturia version very good, perhaps it's not as drenched in effects, so might sound drier.

Re: Cherry Audio - GX-80
I just demo'd it, and it's much nicer in my opinion than the Arturia CS-80 version, the sounds are dialed exactly like Vangelis, and the effects are very good. I am sure you can tweak the Arturia to get what you want from it, but the GX-80 is very capable and has a ton more useful presets.

strange ambient ReFill or patches
Is there a ReFill or set of patches that is close to Boards of Canada or like the patches you can make with Arturia's Microfreak synth that is compatible with Reason?
I am on the fence on buying the Microfreak, just wondering if there is an alternative that is as interesting sounding.
Thanks

using BlueArp
hi, I looked at the BlueARP vst, but not sure how to use it in Reason 10? it sends midi out, but it's seen as a VST instrument, not a utility?
any advise on how to get this working would be great, as it looks really interesting to use.
Thanks

Re: export problem, loops or songs
for some reason that menu "zoom" setting was active?, however when I reset that it made the dialog box huge, but it is working fine. Even re-installing the program did not change this setting. Is there a way to revert to the original settings? delete prefs?

Sequences VST
I downloaded the demo of Sequences VST, and am very impressed with the patterns and editing ability. Is there any other pattern VST like this, it's a bit pricey at 65.00, however it's functionality is really good, feels like this is what reason could be like.
Any thoughts on alternatives?

full bucket SeqencAir question
I downloaded SeqencAir from Full bucket music, to try it's arpeggio out. The SeqencAir has an internal synth that plays back fine, but I can't seem to find a way to control other synths or VST's, it has a gate and a CV out, but these don't seem to want to connect to anything, I tried Reasons synths ...

that works!
I don't mind the work around, as it's a useful synth. Much appreciated.

synthi V loads LOUD, serious distortion, max volume
all other VST's load fine, but Synthi V loads extremely loud, creating a huge feedback distortion loop, sends the meter to full red, once you switch a patch it calms down? only happens in Synthi V?

Re: connecting a Roland SE-02 to reason
Sorry to drag this up again, I did contact Roland, then properly setup a aggregate devise on Mac's Audio Midi. Honestly I am a loss, as sometimes Reason see's and will monitor the sound, and other times it does not. On the Audio channel it will show signal, and likewise I can hear the SE-02 within r...

connecting a Roland SE-02 to reason
Hi, I tried using my Roland SE-02 with reason and got it to record audio, but was not able to hear or monitor that audio. I am sure that I did not set the Audio midi correctly. The SE-02 is recognized as a midi devise, so the driver seems like it works fine, and playback on the SE-02 with midi is fi...
