Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
As I said before, much faster and easy using for 2D - design app, and use external image in knobman app to create filmstrip. Process of 2D design in Figma is similar to designers app, but need much more moves and eat time. But it works. Have you tried Knob Studio? https://iplug2.discourse.group/t/k...

Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
I have totally flipped and am going back to Knobman. Wasting too much time on this stuff.

Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
Yes, ImageMagik works for me time ago. As I read, now some devs of VST - using Figma. I try to use it. Can't say that this process comfort I just found Figma today, it is an online UI/UX tool. On face value I did not see anything that came close to what Knobman etc can do, but I have not looked ver...

Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
Right, so I could not find my old extension for AE but this works absolutely fine with ImageMagik:
convert -append `for x in Volume_Knob_*.png; do echo $x; done;` Volume_Knob.png
(as long as the files list in the same order as their required sequence is)

Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
Ok this is weird, I just got ImageMagik installed and was about to start testing 'convert' and my folder of images already had a vertical strip image in there.. Now I recall past Murf hacking into AE a script that did this maybe..... Ahh to be young again with a real memory.... If I work out how I d...

Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
Sorry, I've only used Knobman. Curious why AE instead of something like Illustrator etc? Sticking around to see what you end up finding! Yeah Knobman is great but after searching around, a lot of VST makers use AE or Illustrator. Here is a frame of a prototype I am making: Volume_Knob_Final_00055.p...

Combining single images into filmstrip format
Hi All, I want to step up my UI game by using Adobe AE instead of Knobman for my UI assets. I can export into single images, but now need to combine these into a vertical strip. Doe anyone know of a utility that does this please? Preferably MAC but not essential, can also be Windows or Java. Thanks,...

Re: Dev free copy of Reason+ ?
If you go into the part of the site that has Build Jobs and Manage Products etc, then there is a bit in there for Manage Developers. IIRC this was where you could get this, by adding their details in. Not sure if this is still doable now. Cheers, B Nothing there these days other than the builds and...

Dev free copy of Reason+ ?
Hi All, I remember back in Reason 10 it was possible to get a Not for Resale (NFR) key for Reason to assist with testing. When the Reason+ subscription came out I inquired with RS about this and they said it was not possible. I can understand anyone's reluctance to divulge if they in fact pulled thi...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
I really have to make sure my Mixer isn't crossing over too much with yours Selig. If you are going to do 8 sends I might drop that idea and go back to the original 2U design with 4 sends. Murf You don’t have to change anything, I’m without a coder at present so you won’t be seeing this from me unl...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
Yes, the returns make sense, because they have a lower delay. The mixer input delay depends on the audio buffer settings. AFAIK. The returns don’t have any delay , there is delay on the channels intentionally. It’s not a limitation of the system, it’s an imposed limitation to mitigate runaway feedb...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
As I see vetical space is the issue here. If it's not essential that every channel has 8 sends simultaneously it could perhaps be an idea to reduce the number of knobs to maybe 4 or 2 per channel and make those assignable to sets of sends, as an example if there are two groups it could be aux group...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
I really like the idea of large vertical faders/meters. All I’m thinking now is physical position and features, and a way to differentiate from what is already available. And also what is actually wanted, of course, all crammed together in a way that is still comfortable and inviting. A tall order ...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
I think it's an improvement. Now the knobs of the different sends and their corresponding return should get some colour coding. Maybe following a nice sunset theme of colours would work out nicely. Thanks I have been looking for something like that color picker! I have started on colors already but...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
I didn't really look back in this topic until now and must admit I added nothing compared to the already posted screenshots, skimming though all pages I don't really understand how Murf went from his almost finished Mix88 to Mix82 design. All in all , I can't really relate to people asking for more...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
Could you do cv for the volume? so it could be used as a vca. Yes CV on as much as I can fit on the back panel. Wooooaahh I am gonna have to reneg on this!!! No way in hell I am gonna fit a cv for every knob per channel on the back panel I can maybe do 6 per channel assuming I stick to 3U. So Bass,...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
To be honest, it looks terrible to me. Sorry, but I would not buy it, even I like the idea of a new mixer. Thanks for being honest, but that is not how it is going to finally look :) Not the final colors Not the final Knobs Not the final buttons (by far) Not the final slider Not the final VU meters

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
Here is a quickly thrown together 3U version. I didnt put much effort in since it is probably gonna change so much anyway Mostly got rid of the smaller knobs and made a bit more room I will start on the signal routing now since all the UI elements I will need are there (except maybe PAN width knobs ...
