Re: Ekssperimental Sounds: TAPEFUNK M10 RE released

I just put this across the top of an early 70s style krautrock project I'm working on atm and its super tasty. Man that overdrive is fantastic.

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

Just rewatched Koyannisqatsi. Normally its translated to 'life out of balance' but it actually means '99% of what you watch is shit compared to this'. No really, its an incredible piece of art, you'll never see things quite the same again after you've seen it. Fantastic soundtrack too.

Hi. FFB 907 is ready for release around 80%.
But if this is interesting I can make from it 914 version at near time.
That would be amazing. And cool about the 907 too. Looking forward to it, I love this kind of thing

Re: I need a resonator.

Has no one made the classic Moog Fixed Filter Bank into an RE yet? https://modularsynthesis.com/moog/914/914_panel.jpg Agreed. There's also a so so version in vcv rack and the arturia moog modular clone has one too. But a stand alone RE version would be exciting. I'm a little surprised Turn2On hasn...

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

I'm onto the 3 body problem and I guessed it in episode 1 but I still am really enjoying it so far, about a 7/10 Worth a watch if you're into Sci-Fi, and is only 8 episodes so can be gotten through reasonably quickly in spare time. I am kind of glad the days of 23 episode seasons are all but gone. ...

Re: What have you been listening to?

John Bender. A lo fi electronic guy who released a few albums and cassettes in the early 80s. Really interesting stuff, quite rugged and minimal and all the better for it.

Re: 5 pin VS USB MIDI - Any difference?

Here is one thing about Midi din that I haven't found a fix for although it's probably a user error rather than a system issue. Ie I am stupid. Anyway, I have the following set up. Reason => audio interface (NI Komplete 6) via usb. audio interface to hardware synth via midi din. so that's fine, as I...

the fan

just started up Reason for a late night recording session and opened ReDrum. You know what? I love the freaking fan. It's awesome - it's beautifully executed and it's extremely funny.

That will be all.

Re: 5 pin VS USB MIDI - Any difference?

One thing I've found using USB out of the PC into hardware is that the signal is very noisy - it differs for each synth but in a couple it makes it almost unusable. No doubt this is because my set up is shit! But it's the only way I can have it in my recording situation (which is in my bedroom which...

Re: Is Behringer Neutron the closest to Subtractor?

I've had a Neutron for a year or so. It's... alright. I mean, no, it's actually pretty good. The layout is very well designed, very efficient, and the patchbay is excellent for its size. It sounds good and you can get a surprising variety of sounds from out of it, especially when you start patching ...

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)

I really liked Dark, slow burning timey wimey weirdness is right up my alley. Plus it has that great Fever Ray song which was apparently recorded in Reason! But it's not for everyone for sure. Its like asking a guns & roses fan to listen to selected ambient works 2. Neither of them are objectively b...

the whole festival was wonderful. I was extremely inspired by these two ladies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4d2hfphgVXA who I hung out with while the dead c did their vapid, run out of ideas in 2001, free noise grand dad ego fest thing. And had a much better time. Also, Roy Montgomery who did a b...

No, I lie, I know exactly what it looks like, the panel on a Hydrasynth which colour scheme wise is a copy of the Arp 2600.

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...

personally I quite like the look of it in a kind of late 90s Prodigy ripoff album art cover kind of way. But I hate that video, had to scroll down immediate but still it's given me a small migraine. Site is still as slow af for me as well.

Oh well, can't please all the people all the time.
