Re: Announcing Reason 13
One thing I'm surprised hasn't been done yet is an AI program that takes your loop and makes an arrangement out of it, while adding ear candy. I find making risers, stutters and transitions boring and tedious at times. I can't remember what it's called but there is a Max 4 Live device that sort-of ...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
So have they come up with a way to store some of those RE samples on another drive. I have 15GB of OS space taken up by REs. If you use your system for other things even a 500GB drive is stretching it. I stopped buying sample based REs. My RE folder is about 40Gig but it's SymLinked to another driv...

Re: horizontal piano roll
I'd find usefull to have option to rotate the piano roll from vertical representation to horizontal It's not something I'd use but you can have the prize for the most interesting feature suggestion of the week. You might also be amused to hear that I think the current piano roll is "horiz...

Re: Logic Pro 11 announced
Great to see them sticking with their free update thing and holding the purchase price at the same level that it has been at for years. And great to see them adding so much. A version of Drummer is in GarageBand on the iPad and it's a remarkably effective way to get decent drums without needing much...

We should probably wait for the release before we get too stressed about what might or might not be in it. One thing's for sure: they won't be making any design changes at this late stage regardless of what gets posted in this thread.

Re: BLEASS
Yeah, I've been playing with it for a few weeks now. Calling it an arpeggiator is somewhat of an understatement. I think I now understand it pretty well but sometimes I choose a preset at random and think "wow, how is it making those sounds?" And, yeah, shame Reason still doesn't support VST MIDI ou...

Re: Subtractor for iOS (iPad)
That low price thing is probably why they have run away from iOS. You just can't charge sensible prices for stuff on mobile devices, and that's before the regular sales that everyone expects.Musicbyproseed wrote: ↑29 Feb 2024I'm sure I speak for many when saying I'd easily pay $10 for that device alone.

Re: First Love FM synth
This looks fun! Looks like it will make its debut at SuperBooth. Any guesses on price? Price: more than I'll want to pay! That image looks computer generated rather than a photo. I assume they'll have a real one at SB. They might need to add shoulder buttons and a joystick if they want to go full-o...

Where's the promo vid? One will probably arrive eventually. In the meantime you can make your own. Put on some banging dance music then go here: https://www.reasonstudios.com/new-in-13 Slowly scroll down that page, pausing on each of the giant titles and read them out in Ryan's voice. Aim to keep i...

Above all else, I really, really, really, REALLY hope it's ready for release day.
Proper ready. Propellerhead ready. Definitely not Reason 12 "ready". Because that damaged the rock solid reputation that was built over so many years.

Re: Life after Rewire
As long as you are not wanting to open an existing Reason project your best bet is probably to load Reason as a plugin within ProTools. That gets you one or more instances of the Reason Rack inside ProTools but not Reason's sequencer or mixer. Yeah, I think I might end up doing that. But it's a sha...

He's going to look a bit daft if they decide to call R13 something else to avoid unlucky 13. Maybe Reason 2024?

Re: Billie Eilish: singing the "real" version of MJ's "Bad"
Hehe. Axl. Not so much snake hips boy as munchkin chubby chops. The Billie Eiish one doesn't offend me, unlike so many other slow covers. I blame Eva Cassidy for starting it. Take an iconic song, slow it right down, remove all the energy from it and, to really piss me off, change a few of the notes ...

Re: reason 12 restarts my machine every half hour
It's almost certainly a hardware issue. Overheating or RAM error or something.
You'll be able to cause the same symptom with other processor/memory intensive software if you drive it hard enough.

Re: Opinions on Bitwig
I'm in a similar boat except I just like to learn new tools and DAW's for fun. For whatever reason I trialed Bitwig and didn't like it, which I know sounds very vague so take it with a grain of salt, but I don't even recall why. With that said I'm an owner of FL and Logic, the only two other DAW's ...

Re: How to adjust MIDI knob sensitivity?
You probably want something with pots rather than encoders.
If you want lots of pot knobs then the Akai MIDIMix is a decent budget option. Some people find the knobs a bit "low profile" but I found them fine. You can change them for any standard "D-profile" fitting knob if you want.

and not the dystopian bag of shit we're being handed by 21st century corporate capitalism.... Alternative futures are available. Choose from: 1. Blade Runner - "Wake up, time to die!" 2. Demolition Man - "Be well" 3. Terminator 2 - Aw, you know the quotes from this one. And from all his other movies.
