Re: Uninstall Reason from a MAC ??? Security perspectives...
I would suggest that you wipe the hard drive, do a fresh install of the OS, setup a new user account for your friend, and then reinstall only the software you want to share with them/sell with the computer. This is how I have always done this. It will remove any security concerns for you and it will...

Re: The "I don't care" thread
I don’t care about 95% of what people complain about on here. I try real hard not to care about the complaining or to respond to it because it’s waste of time that could be spent actually using Reason or sleeping.
I like this thread though. Thanks for that!

Re: Keyboard amp?
You need an amp and cab for a guitar, but not for a synth. When I used hardware synths I always played them through my studio monitoring, and when playing live my rig just went into the PA system. Currently, my RD-150, Waldorf Pico and K1RII are just hooked up to my Scarlett 18i20. Great. Home use....

Re: Keyboard amp?
Definitely not a bass amp. How come? I really am interested in why. I suspect it's the type of speakers. Bass amps don't generally have horn tweeters for the high end. I never dug too deep into the technical difference but I've been playing synths live since the early 90s and I've been in the unfor...

I do not understand why the old Native Access doesn't update to the new Native Access. You actually need to go to the website and download the new version. I would never have known it even existed without this thread.

Roland Keyboard amps - https://www.roland.com/us/categories/am ... mplifiers/
Various sizes and options and any of them will sound great.
Powered speakers are not a bad choice either but the Roland amps are great.

Re: TAL Vocoder - how to use?
You can also just drop the TAL Vocoder onto an audio track, usually a vocal but no rules, then right click on the VST and select "Create Track for TAL Vocoder" then right click again on the track in the sequencer and select "New Note Lane". Then any midi notes you play/record on that note lane will ...

Re: Reason 32bit floating point recording
Curious if anybody has tried recording 32-bit float into Reason, since that is the topic of this thread. We have other threads discussing 32-bit float and the benefits. The OP here is asking if it's possible to record 32-bit float into Reason. Reason can load 32-bit float files, but can it record i...

Re: he stopped for me (old school eletronic)
I've never read that one. Love it. Thanks for posting it and explaining the title. I'm a big fan of titles. It's always been part of my process to name songs very early on, sometimes even starting with the title before any music or lyrics are written, then work from the title as if a prompt. Or have...

Re: he stopped for me (old school eletronic)
I love the Depeche Mode vibe of the synth melodies. I absolutely love martin gore and alan wilder. Like much of their music I used borrowed chords and modulated awkwardly into new sections(not consciously just liked the way it sounded). Another thing one can find in DM songs is simplicity. This son...

Re: Soundtoys will release SuperPlate at NAMM 2023
Given the simplicity of Little Plate compared to the other fully functional big brother Soundtoys plugins I very much suspect you you are drastically underestimating the added features. Also, when was the last time Soundtoys had a paid update? Is it so wrong for them to ask for $59 when those of us ...

Re: NN-XT samples sound no way like the sample when using keyboard?
Sounds like you are losing them in and then playing pitched down versions. The original pitch should be on middle C and should sound exactly the same as the sample.
NN-XT might not be the best, or most intuitive, option for drum samples. Kong might be better.

I'd also like to know if anyone has an answer to this. I know Reason can import 32 bit float audio, but I'm still not sure if it can record it. I'm very interested in that Rode mic too.

Really? I bought a Macbook Pro not long ago and first disappointment was exactly to realise that my Balance Audio Device isn't working at all. Not a single light is on.... Am I missing something? Not sure. Maybe that it's broken? Or maybe the cable is bad? Mine works on an M1 iMac, a Mac Studio, an...

Re: Where do I put VSTs and presets on Mac?
You shouldn’t need to put them anywhere. They should have an installer that you run that will put them where they need to be. Depending on your OS version, plugins that don’t have an installer, that you do drop into the VST folder (Macintosh HD:/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST - and /VST3) won’t run anyw...

Because the default is that clips match the color of the track they are on. If you right click on the individual clip and change the clip color to be different from the track it will not change when moved to a different track.
