Re: Reason very laggy
I would turn off hyper-threading. That never really worked on Macs. Try multi-core on and off and see what works better. But your main problem is almost certainly that Reason 10 is incompatible with M1 and your operating system. Upgrade to 12 and you should be super smooth. I have a MacBook Pro with...

I assume you've done all of this right? - https://help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articl ... ility-Info
I'm not sure if it would not work at all without completing those steps or possibly be very flakey.

You could also select all of your channels and route them to a new output bus which you could turn down.

Re: R12, 16 months on, ... how are you all finding it?
16 months in and I'm the happiest I've ever been with Reason. At least on my M1 Macs, both currently running Monterey, Reason is very stable and much faster and more efficient than it's ever been. For the first time ever I can run my entire live show at 64 buffer size which helps greatly with feel. ...

Enttec Emu VST3
I know it's early but has anyone tried and figured out how to get the Emu Light Controller VST3 to work in Reason? I'm suspicious that it does not work. I have it installed. The plugin shows up as an effect, which seems odd. If I click "open" on the VST it does nothing. I'm working on building a lig...

Probably true. Sorry.PhillipOrdonez wrote: ↑22 Dec 2022Haha you're not following the conversationstillifegaijin wrote: ↑22 Dec 2022
There is definitely a distinction in search. VST2 has a blue label at the top and VST3 has a gold, both labelled.

Re: IZotope Nectar 3 plus for $12.50 (ended - price might've been an error)
Nectar 3 pitch correction iss weird, my experience, maybe god for detuning instruments, I´m unconvinced by the Izotpe stuff.... I don't use the pitch correction in Nectar unless I am going for some weird effect. The compressor, EQ, saturation, reverb, de-esser, etc are very good and it's very usefu...

In that case, no. It's great but I would have never bought it on it's own, well, not for real money. I got it for free as part of some iZotope package deal that made it cheaper to get a bunch of stuff than just the one thing I actually wanted.

Re: Not happy with reward points
I own a lot of software and can't recall ever having to pay more using a voucher when there's the exact same combo on the page for less cash lol. It just feels like it hurts RS to give you something. The bundle isn’t in the rewards shop. Each individual refill is in the rewards shop for $69 each, t...

Re: Not happy with reward points
This thread made me go check my rewards as I never even thought about buying anything else from RS and seen I have 145 points. I go to the shop and noticed Soul School 1&2 are on sale for $99 so I cashed out the most you can get at $125 but the voucher didn't work at checkout. So I follow the link ...

Very worth it. I expected to to hate Nectar but as long I don't use the terrible "vocal assistant" and just add and set models manually it's killer.

List of VSTs with mixed up categorization
I saw this mentioned deep in another thread but I figured it might be good to assemble a full list here. Certain VST3s are being incorrectly categorized by Reason, or at least, in my opinion, just categorized differently than their VST2 counterparts. The only ones I've found on my system are Izotope...

Re: Reason 12.5.0 Released (VST3)
So today after testing Reason 12.5 on my Windows PC and my old MacBook Air... and MacBook Pro (Catalina), I thought it would be reasonable to try on my main machine, the Mac mini M1. Updated it, opened it, tried a few VST3s and while they seemed to work, every single one of them crashed Reason when...

Re: What are your music related goals for 2023?
1. I also plan to buy less (or no?) new stuff while making more use of what I currently have. I know I have more than I need to do what I need. 2. Try to find enjoyment in performing live again and get over feeling “too old” for it. 3. Figure out how to release and adequately promote the album we fi...

Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)
This makes no sense at all. How could DAW improvements NOT affect everyone? There is no difference between the R+ and the R-perpetual product, it is one product. The only difference is the payment schedule. Let me be more succinct in the point I was trying to make since it clearly didn't get across...

Maybe I just need to fully understand the current rolling version philosophy. But for the last 20 years I've brought a product that is what it is with updates that address some of the bugs that seem to cause problems for the most vocal - which up until recently I hadn't been. But seriously I'm not ...

blur.png Main text font looks blurry in Reason 12 compared to 11 which is on the left. Like some weird anti-aliasing effect.
