Re: Speculation thread - RS releasing new device
yeah, oversampled and ZDF designed subtractor would be absolutely amazing - same as thor. The bones of those synths are excellent - would be awesome to improve the audio engine to UHE/Synapse levels. Obligatory comment that ZDF designs don't change the sound of the filters overall, just the respons...

that dude is a straight up savant and keeps his eyes on the prize. i am sheepishly looking at my massive VST folder now. "VSTs? What are those?" should be my mantra to just focus.

Re: Reason featured on Youtuber video.
I can't remember if I posted this here or elsewhere too, but...I also did beta testing for UHE synths when they went M1 Native last summer or so. Urs and one of the other devs had noted to NOT turn on the multicore function button when using the new builds since it gave worse performance. I am not s...

Re: Reason featured on Youtuber video.
its incredibly likely it is due to 'use multi core rendering' and/or 'use hyper threading audio rendering' being checked in the audio preferences. once i unchecked on an M1, my problems disappeared.

Re: Latest Roadmap (21 March 2022)
Thats what i've been saying - native/universal binary will be nice, but it's not a show stopper right now. most estimates are noting that rosetta 2 performance hits are 10-15% to CPU. The m1 are so darn good that I'm not even close to maxing out the capabilities to where i need that back. using rola...

Re: Novation Launchkey Mini mk3
oh nice. can you tell me what the knobs usually map to for the stock synths? and is there a way to switch 'banks' for the knobs? i like to quickly tweak ADSR for the synths - not sure if that is usually default. how hard is it to add manually to the remote file for other RE?

Re: Novation Launchkey Mini mk3
Wanted to bump this as i was considering a launch key mini mk3 for use with Reason. Has anything changed or been updated, or are the gripes from the thread still present? This video was made after the last post here, and it shows Enrique switching between the instruments and using the knobs. Seems l...

Re: [For Sale] Reason 11 Suite & Reason 10
Not for now due to delays from the seller who sold me Reason 12. When will it start selling, please wait for notification. I'm curious why you don't just buy an update for R12, instead of buying a full license. I mean, I'm sure RS appreciate the business, but it looks like you are buying a full ver...

Re: flattest studio monitors?
Sonarworks causes crazy audio glitches on M1 Pro Macs. I bought a new Arturia MiniFuse 1 to use with my M1 and I had horrible performance till I uninstalled it. It's not compatible yet and running it with Reason on Rosetta isn't the best. Just passing that along. Are you using SoundID reference? I'...

Re: flattest studio monitors?
but that's not the point. The point of treating your room and using something like sonarworks is to remove the wild inconsistencies and take guesswork out of mixes. if your room is neutral and you publish your music to wherever and a listener chooses to use bass accentuated beats headphones, then th...

yep, it would just run under rosetta 2. I'm using it on my m1 pro MBP without a hitch. Well, the hitch is that the mac version was never finished so it doesn't remember last patch settings upon project startup.

yeah, totally agree with Ryan here; he put into writing what i couldn't really put my finger on to articulate. there are times when i have either the mixer/rack/seq split, or just the rack/seq when i am auditioning something or tweaking a synth. opening the VST windows is like a workflow "micro anno...

Re: PG-8X
Say I have a PG8X preset bank I like, but want to have it accessed easily by this combi skin - when i click on the patch button, it is looking for a reason specific file, i think. Where would I load my sysex bank in to be easily accessed? You cannot use a sysex-bank (or VST-presets for that matter)...

Re: Chord SQ from Retouch
that is what both those options do, this is from the reason manual Activate Direct Record to record the MIDI notes generated by the Player(s), instead of the notes you play from your MIDI Control Keyboard. Direct Record mode is for when you use Players as an input tool (record chords, etc) and for ...

Re: Chord SQ from Retouch
reading what you wrote made me realize i should have just downloaded the trial and i would have seen that, ha.
Is there a way to send the midi straight to track? I see that I can record with keypress to trigger the player's sequencer, but what if i dont want to do that?

Read the manual, but didnt see this (but i am very tired, heh) ...where is the option to direct record or send to track so i can further arrange in the sequencer? I am looking for something like dragging midi from captain chords.
