HI!
Question: Is an account name change possible?
I can change the email adress but not the account name.
Is there a "reason" for it?
Thanks!

Re: The artistic process or whatever
You may try to reconcile your usual guests who come to your audition to criticize your work and leave you in doubt. Persuade them to find a possible compromise. Ask some of them if there could be anything at all they would like. That may help for a while, until new guests start coming, with new lik...

The artistic process or whatever
Hello! :) Today I was working on my song, being pretty okay with it. But then, the longer I did work on it, the more I was starting to hear "mistakes", etc. I started to question the sounds I chose, that I liked so much at the beginning. Made a second mixdown, that, at one point, sounded worse then ...

Re: What comes first: EQ or Compressor, etc.
EQ after compression is generally for tone. EQ before compression is a means to control frequency response of the compressor. But... There are really 1000 answers to your question. To narrow them to one: just think about what you are trying to achieve in each case. Does the sound even need compress...

Re: I will always choose music
I am not starving, and I can pay the bills, etc. I apologize, I made that not clear at all. I do live in reality :D, it is just during moments like that, when I realize I love making music. Glad to hear it. By the way…with noodles you get hungry pretty soon afterwards. Try porridge. That oatmeal wi...

I will always choose music
Hi! :) I just spent 35 Euros for one song (on a CD), using an old drum loop I want to use, too. Why I am mentioning this? Again, I realized I will always choose being alone and stone-broke (another month of noodles ahead me :D ) and making music, than not to do that. Does anyone feel the same way ab...

I often just swap the order of effects to see if that works better for me in that particular instance.
Thanks!

Re: What comes first: EQ or Compressor, etc.
I often have EQ both before and after a compressor, particularly on recordings of "real" instruments. The EQ before the comp is there to cut unwanted low and (more rarely) high frequencies so the compressor has an easier job on the bits I'm interested in. Of course, you can use multiband dynamics i...

Re: What comes first: EQ or Compressor, etc.
No, there is no set roule. Especially regarding sounddesign. Actually it´s about what you like to achieve or what situation you are in. You can basically see both like tools with certain capabilties. Both got possibilities to be used as an audioengineering tool like e.g. filtering out unwanted freq...

Re: What comes first: EQ or Compressor, etc.
Well, for virtual instruments i seldom use any compression. But if you must, the order really depends on what you want. For general purposes, the eq after the compressor is the better approach. There are cases where you want the eq before it though, but it all depends on what the sound needs. On yo...

What comes first: EQ or Compressor, etc.
Hello, everyone! :) I have a question: What comes first: EQ or Compressor, etc. I am not talking about audio recorded live. I am talking about music/sounds done via Vst. I read there is a big difference. For example: I used a Maximizer on a drum loop to make it stand out a little. I also added a ECF...

"Reacher" TV Series: the sound design of its fight scenes
Hello, everyone! :) Has anyone seen the "Reachers" TV Series? I did, and I must say I immensely enjoyed it. I thought it had interesting characters, it was pretty well acted, and It was also filmed really well. Finally, Reacher was almost like the books, showing no mercy to people he goes up against...

Re: (Ambient/Instrumental Music) Drudner - The Hands of Time (Work in Progress)
I enjoyed this a lot. Nice Harmonies and Sounds. Reminded me a lot on the classic Bladerunner (1982) Soundtrack (wich is a good thing). Thank you! :) Like I said, I am fine with its structure, but it sounds a little flat so far. Mixing is still my weak spot. :D And by the way, "Blade Runner" is a b...

and this piece does have story. Thank you very much for listening, and thank you ver much for your kind words! :) "Oceanic" sounds interesting. (Ambient/Instrumental Music) Drudner - The Hands of Time (Work in Progress)
Hello everybody! :) I want to ask for your opinion. I have been working on this song for quiet some time now, using only the Diva Vst. Besides the mixing of the song, I think its structure, etc. is okay now. But I am not 100% sure, so what do you guys think? And do you think "Ambient/Instrumental Mu...
