Re: bx_crispytuner
There seems to be conflicting information on the internet about the formats CrispyTuner is available in. Do you know if it's actually available as a VST2 so it can work directly within Reason as the VST host, or is it VST3 only and thus wouldn't work in Reason at the moment? Yeah available as a VST...

Re: bx_crispytuner
bx_crispytuner On-sale ATM on plugin alliance thought I'd throw it out there as it has a similar workflow to Reason native pitch correction which I really like, plus can do some other stuff that Reason can't do or at least not as easily. Could be a great addition to anyone using Bitwig/Ableton, etc...

Re: I may have discovered a remedy for plugin GAS.
Ok, it might not work all the time but it’s certainly helping me alleviate the GAS at the moment. Here’s the plan. First you have to find something you actually do really want but are waiting to go on sale. Then whenever you see a “too good to miss might be good to have in the future” plugin you ne...

Re: Spitfire Audio LABS - Free Instruments
It's those who oppose it who want to make it political. I have to respectfully disagree with your definition of political. It becomes political when people make a societal issue (which people legitimately may or may not agree with) totally unrelated to Spitfire's products, the entire focus of the c...

Re: Spitfire Audio LABS - Free Instruments
I'm sure the mods are having a healthy discussion somewhere about whether my post is political or not. I would say it is only bringing information about SA that may be pertinent to members of this community. In the mean time: (screenshot of twitter) And there will also now be many who just as equal...

Re: RB Sequences with Umpf Drums - any way to gate sample length?
I'm trying to work out how I can sequence Umpf Drums with Robotic Bean Sequences , but so the length of the note in Sequences controls the length of the sample playback in Umpf . Not sure if what you're asking for is doable with Sequences. Have you tried Lectric Panda's Propulsion or Kompulsion for...

Re: Feature Request: Umpf Drums & Drum Sequencer Improvements
just bought Umpf / Drum Sequencer Bundle in the end of summer sale... great fun but a few key features missing I think: === Drum Sequencer === steps should have Pitch and Pan options.. or at least CVs that can be mapped (since it's not actually directly connected to any specific Drum instrument). T...

Re: Lags with a MacBook Pro 14 and a Fireface 802
Hello everyone, I had to switch my old macbook for a new one. I had a Macbook Pro 2015 with a M-Box 3 Mini. I have now a Macbook Pro 2021, 14", Apple M1 Pro chip, Memory 16 Go. I am now using a Fireface 802 (connected with an old USB cable to an USB C adapter). I have Reason 10. On my old MacBook P...

Re: Reason+ Instruments/Effects Not Showing Up On Authorized Computer
Today I got an email from Reason Studios regarding 50% off on Reason+ ($99.50USD). So I figured, sure why not... I downloaded the Companion App, and fired it up on my computers. On my Windows PC everything shows up fine... that is.. the instruments/effects I haven't bought but come with Reason+. On...

Hi. Using Reason 10 with an M1 iMac. I'm having to force quit whenever I click to export song as audio. The export song window appears, but I can't click anything on it. Any idea of what I should do to get it working? I'm trying to get back into music production after several years break. I've fina...

Re: Reason+
Yes, R+ is a lisence - not an application Yep, but if you'd say this about 10 it would be wrong. Reason + is only compatible with R11 so lots of content is only available to R11 and after. You can also see on if you have prior to R11 versions installed they are greyed out. Mind also, mot Re's that ...

Re: Reason 12 - Silence gap at beginning of mp3?
You must be mistaken. MP3s by the very nature of the file format will always leave a small silent gap at the beginning and the end of the file. This is because the MP3 compression algorithm itself leaves that space of 10ms to 50ms there - regardless of the software doing the compression. The only w...

Re: Reason 12 - Silence gap at beginning of mp3?
I exported as a wav and used Audacity to convert to mp3 and it’s perfect. Why doesn’t the Reason mp3 export trim the silence gap at the beginning of the mp3 ? You must be mistaken. MP3s by the very nature of the file format will always leave a small silent gap at the beginning and the end of the fi...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
There might be a way of hacking that out. I managed to prevent a dialogue in an older version of Reason appearing when it was irritating me in the past. I can't remember exactly which dialogue it was but I remember I definitely did get it to disappear! If my memory serves me correctly, I searched i...

Re: Reason Studios 13 or 14 (Future Talk)
I wish they'd release a new minor version of Reason8 first. This version should just get away with the annoying "This RE is using a too new SDK version" message box you get for each RE that has been updated to a more recent SDK. When you go back to R8 to use a line6 amp you have to wade through a t...

Re: Any comments for NI FM8 for 12 bucks?
FM synthesis is one of those ones where it doesn't matter how old the DSP, because it's digital and not analog subtractive emulation, it still sounds really good all these years later. Algoritm, PX7 (if you have it), Dexed, FM8, and Sytrus are the ones which seem to be the best FM options available ...

Re: Reason Financials 2021
The best thing Reason Studios could do (although whether they have the coding chops to do so given the debacle that is R12 remains to be seen) is to decouple the frontend and backend of Reason. Then they could get a brand new frontend built (maybe farmed out to a 3rd party to do) and then market tha...

If anyone is looking for an RE-2A/CA-2A replacement, the Softube built Native Instruments VC 2A is fantastic and I think nicer (more analog) sounding than the now discontinued Cakewalk offering.

Re: Low-vision accessibility issues in Reason UIs
One of my biggest disappointments with Reason is that many of the UIs are close to unreadable for anyone with impaired vision. The issue is lack of contrast between text and background. For example: Combinator Editor: black text on jade green background Europa: red text on black background Umpf Clu...

Unsure how much of an impact it had, but by early September 2021 there became unlicensed versions of Reason 11, Reason 12 and many Rack Extensions available on the internet after Reason's CodeMeter protection was broken. It's difficult to know just how many lost sales that has resulted in since.

Re: Switch Blocks by MIDI Controller
After following this thread, it seems the nektar doesn't switch the reason 32 blocks in block mode but instead set/store/recall multiple loop l/r markers and moves to the left marker. This can be done with lua codec by using lua variables to store l/r loop presets and the document scope. Therefore,...
