I guess the question has to be asked: why not just go back to Reason 11?

Are you sure your computer is not connected to internet? It sounds like it has to be connected at times in order to download and register both Reason and the racks, so could it be accessing somehow without you knowing? In which case maybe my experience above is a hint as to what's going on, though ...
