Re: Life after Rewire
Ableton Link is supported by Reason and Logic, so syncing the two should be no problem (I have NOT tested this myself, but Link is pretty fool proof in my experience). I tried Ableton Link but it doesn't sync the timeline positions which is necessary to scrub for specific frames from both sides. An...

Re: Reason 12+ to UAD Luna
Wow OK, it's my least favourite DAW that is currently in active development - even though I am on Mac and use Apollos as my interfaces (which I know aren't necessary anymore), I honestly don't like it at all. I guess just another example of different strokes! My advice is, if you really are preferr...

Re: Blamco Equalizer Pack vs Red Rock Equivalents
Have you found the cause for that comb filter like response? Meanwhile what Pultec emu are you leaning towards? No unfortunately not. :( I tried it with other settings (e.g. 48KHz) but with same results. Since I cannot confirm the results in any other way (and I cannot rule out the possibility that...

Re: Synapse Audio The Legend HZ has arrived.
Yeah unless they are mirrored on the front like ABL3. I wonder...if a dev was determined to have controls on the back and not have them accessible on the front, but wanted it so they could be automated...maybe the dev could hide them on a front panel that can't be accessed by the user, but is mirro...

Re: What are you watching at the moment? (possible spoilers)
Currently watching Dark Matter - really enjoyed the book (Blake Crouch) and kept thinking how great it would be on screen. Am not disappointed so far (3 episodes in). Blake also wrote Pines, aka “Wayward Pines” on the screen, and also recommended to sci fi fans!

Re: Blamco Equalizer Pack vs Red Rock Equivalents
I'm in the same boat (not yet decided), and I have tested the candidates (also e.g. Kuassa EVE MP-5) with Bertom EQ Curve Analyser (https://bertomaudio.com/eq-curve-analyzer.html). The Blamco Program EQ was so far the only one that gave me nasty artefacts on the diagram: Screenshot 2024-05-19 at 14...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
It’s just a crossfader on the outputs of the LP and HP of the filter, nothing more. Check out the Oberheim SEM module as a classic example of this feature.False Mirror wrote: ↑18 May 2024I’m very curious on the implementation of the continuous LP/HP filter in PolyTone. I’m not aware of any DSP algorithm doing that.

Re: Announcing Reason 13
@supersmarter, it's possible. Wait are you trying to tell me it is possible to load specific patches from A to B, keep B for example, and then load something entirely different in A and then morph? If that is true, if I didn't misunderstand you then shiiiiet my weekend just got better... :c...

I don’t need MIDI in LUNA, but found it perfectly workable for all the basics. Never did like PT for MIDI…
I’ve been mixing in LUNA exclusively for a few years now, super happy camper!

Re: Play single Kong Pad across keyboard? Help needed!
If you need to stick to Kong, you might have better luck using a wide Pitch Bend amount and programming the notes that way. The limitation in Kong include a restricted note range for triggering each pad, and lack of "key tracking" for pitch on any pads. Here is a thread where I posted a chart for al...

Re: Combining single images into filmstrip format
Yes, ImageMagik works for me time ago. As I read, now some devs of VST - using Figma. I try to use it. Can't say that this process comfort I just found Figma today, it is an online UI/UX tool. On face value I did not see anything that came close to what Knobman etc can do, but I have not looked ver...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I am late to the party (as usual). I only noticed it in Dune (genetics) and in Reaktor a while ago. I can see commands on Poltone "copy a to b" so maybe this will be possible...hard to guess If not you may be able to use the crossfader from the new r13 device in a Combinator possibly. @supersmarter...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Polytone - The option to "morph" feature seems stunning. It would have been amazing and weird to be able to "morph" between say a pad in A and a bassline in B. ReasonStudios is it possible to load a specific patch in A and then a specific Patch in B? That would be a nice twist. Something like that ...

Re: Reason/Eurorack Integration with Apollo X4
You shouldn't need to use Console for this, as you are routing directly to the hardware outputs from Reason. Console is more important dealing with inputs… As for audio to CV, CV over audio is only necessary for high bandwidth modulation (audio rate, etc). For basic clock/note/gate I'm very happy wi...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
If you think the Reason community complaints about the R13 announcement are bad, you should go read up on Ableton Live and Logic Pro forums. You talk about negativity and whining about new features and so-called bugs. I've never seen it this bad. Maybe that is the nature of forums these days. Peopl...

Pardon the blatant promotion, but I believe some here would be interested in this. I don’t know if any of you are familiar with my buddies at Bjooks, but they have 11 days left on their next book kickstarter celebrating the MiniMoog: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/bjooks/the-minimoog-book?ref=...

Re: Automation Presets (Like FL Studio)
Pro Tools did a similar thing many years ago, when drawing automation. If you selected a waveform, such as triangle, then selected a pan control, you could draw auto-pan into the timeline at the current grid setting. Dragging left to right added the waveform over that part of the timeline, dragging ...

I think AI is going to last more than a day… We’ll see how long it takes for the shtick to wear off people 🤷♂️ Just like every time we heard an orch stab in the 80s we wondered how long it would take for the “sampling shtick” to wear off. Or after we heard “Believe” we wondered how long would it t...

What is in my mastering section? Surprisingly not my mastering. The only thing currently in there is the HP filter for the Master Compressor. Beyond that is my mastering Combinator (between the Master Out and the Hardware Interface), which has Ozone 10 in it, plus Youlean Metering. In Ozone, I use t...

I’ve been around for a long time, and heard all sorts of ‘things’ in my life. But even in the weird audio world, this is a new one. First of all, you can’t get anyone to 100% agree on which way to pan drums or pianos, but no argument has ever been about which side is ‘closer/further’. Second, the c...
