Do any of the other presets in the Alan Parsons refill give you a less bright sound? If so, that's the best starting place. Attempting what WongoTheSane mentioned might work as well or even in addition to that. Something else you can try is using an ID8 piano Grand or maybe even Upright and adjustin...

I would assume a decision has probably been made by now, But I'd say Logic X is great if you intend to supplement it with third party plugins or happen to be great at programing synths. Otherwise the stock preset sounds are pretty dated and the stock synths aren't as simple to understand as Reason'...

Sad thing. The Softube stuff is horrible in comparison to Line 6. Granted I'm only doing keyboard guitar, but it's all being done with Guitar Rig and Ampire in Studio One going forward. Reason amp options just don't cut it anymore.
