I think what the DC should be doing, is delaying everything else 2.77 seconds. But you've only got one mix channel running, so there's nothing else there to be compensated.
Try adding a parallel, unprocessed mix channel of the synth, and see what happens.

Well setting inputs from the sequencer doesn't exactly require a lot of dedication and work. It's just clicking on the track, where it says Ins and then selecting the input.
