Funnily I am using faders less and less when creating my static mix. Sounds funny but in most of my last mixes I had the faders all at unity (some parts at -3 or -6) and do the fine tuning in the compressors output gain etc. Then for automation and making the mix dynamic I automate the faders.

Well the base idea is not really, I can't remember the name of that book right now but theres a MASSIVE amount of bands (EDM artists, w/e, I'm an oldschool guy and say "band" ) that made their chart positions by exactly following that book word by word.

You don't have to, really. If you can make 3D models, normal- and diffuse maps and export them to Collada files (yes, its an ugly format) you'll already be able to massively help people creating REs.

Yeah, as people said, its not as easy in Reason to have "full PDC" as it is in other DAWs, Other DAWs just have the signal flow from channel to bus to master, in Reason you can do anything. Lemme pull out my trusty badly drawn example  :s0403:
