Not yet, but I should have the first beta ready in the next few days.

Re: Why does the sequencer change grid resolution at random?
There are two different snap settings in the Sequencer: One for editing MIDI and one for everything else. Even if you stay in Edit Mode it will switch between the two settings depending on what you're doing.

Upcoming RE (Tinker) - Beta testers needed
After some years away from RE development, I'm nearing completion of new CV-focused RE: Tinker CV Math Assistant . I expect beta testing to begin some time in January. If anyone is interested in being a tester, just PM me your Reason Studios username. Some of you may remember that I made my previous...

Are you using spreadsheet software, not a text editor?
That's how they're intended to be edited, as they're tab-delimited files.

Re: VST2 vs VST3. Which one is better?
Hosts are going to start dropping VST2 support at some point. Cubase has already done so for M1 native and will totally drop it next year. As other hosts do the same, plugin developers will inevitably follow suit. So I'd recommend VST3 if you want to be able to load your projects in a few years wit...

Re: What grinds my gears (and possible solutions)
If you use a single monitor, good luck using a VST pop up window when you have undocked your rack. The VST is tied to the specifically rack and not to RS, so when you select the VST to "stay on top" the VST window will still disappear the moment you touch the sequencer or Mixer. That doesn't happen...

Re: Reason 12 F***** autosave
Reason would first need non-blocking save for autosave to be pleasant. Saving can take quite a while, especially with heavy NN-XT patches. For me personally I wouldn't want Reason to autosave. Sometimes I make changes I don't want to keep. But still, having the option to do so would probably be a go...

CodeMeter is available for Linux, so I don’t think that would prevent it. The bigger question is whether the demand exists to justify the development and support costs.

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
The gap is very much intentional, because Combinators can now be placed inside mix channel inserts.
In the rack plugin, there is no gap, because there are no mix channels.

Re: Creating a momentary switch with remote keyboard
Here's one method. As an example, this will open Europa's filter while C0 is held: - Add RPG-8 to the Combinator. Set its Velocity knob to Fixed 127 and turn the Arpeggiator off. - Using the Combinator programmer, restrict the range of RPG-8 to just C0 and Europa's range to C#0 to G8. - Hook the RPG...

I learned about this modular line of controllers recently:

I haven't bought anything yet, but they seem quite powerful with their scripting capability.
Potentially an alternative to the MIDI Fighter Twister.

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
VSTs can support both MIDI and audio out from the same device (e.g. a synth sending MIDI from its sequencer or arpeggiator). Since Players cannot output audio, I'd rather see a "MIDI Receiver" Player device. It would have a dropdown for selecting any VST instance from the project. And it would simpl...

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, or perhaps I'm simply running Logic in Rosetta mode without even knowing it. ...but I don't think I am?! https://youtu.be/siv7Js2jedQ You're right. Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
There's a huge difference between creating a VST3 instrument and hosting VST3 instruments. For a start, you don't have to use every single VST3 feature. As a host, you do - and you also might have to handle features used incorrectly. Pretty sure Maschine doesn't yet handle VST3, and if it does, it'...

Re: Recording fx parameter automation in Nektarine
It's a limitation of Reason's VST2 implementation. You can only automate the first 250 parameters of any VST plugin. The workaround that's usually suggested is automating a Combinator knob (Combinator controls can map to all parameters, including those beyond 250). But that has its own limitations, ...

Re: RRP - Logic - Mac Studio Woes
I thought that might be the case. I don't want to run in Rosetta mode as I have so many other other things that now only run natively i.e. Spitfire stuff. As I understand it… You cannot run non M1 software on M1 hardware without Rosetta mode, and this includes plugins like RRP. Which means the host...
