^^^^^^^^
you could also go heavy on poramento and just play notes. or you could bind the mod wheel to control portamento amount.
but it's all about portamento and pitch bend

Re: Headphone Mixing Tips Needed

Ok here's my tip for everything: change your listening/monitoring volume all the time. The best way to check your mix is simply listening to it at different levels. Speakers will sound totally different because our ears are the problem. They are non lineair and very much colored. ^Agreed-except par...

In my humble opinion Zero is worth saving up your synth budget for five synths' worth of time

Re: question about Selig Gain

as a suggestion though selig; if the user has gain set to 'trim' mode, it doesn't make any sense to allow CV to add gain. it should behave exactly as if you were wiggling the fader to the LFO rhythm.

just a suggestion

question about Selig Gain

when i trialed this, i wanted to use it as kind of a "square wave simulator", or "rapid volume cutter", via a square LFO connected to the fader CV in on the back. I was attracted to the device's 'trim' mode which keeps the max level at unity, and allows you just to cut. So I adju...

That is if you define the goal of business to be "collect as much money as possible". Sure. But that kind of philosophy is toxic. You must understand, seeing as you have some of the biggest bargain RE's in the store. Some of the most valuable. It's not ALL about maximising profits now is i...

Re: The Apple playbook

Countless times when people have complained that other daws have features x, y, or z, when propellerhead's official position at the time was that Reason was not a daw. It looked like one, but it wasn't. People got understandably upset. They had to invest once and make it count and felt like they go...

Re: Sampling the internet

I use the o-deus audio asio link that was linked in the first reply, it works great. It not only lets you sample windows in reason, it also lets you use effects live. I frequently strap a polar and an echo onto YouTube videos and crack up as the voice of Satan himself suddenly starts playing. Also, ...

Re: 'One click' pattern to track for drum sequencers

 fantastic. worth the 9$ spring for jiggery. works exactly as advertised. kinda got caught up on the way the player works. propulsion HAS to be enabled AND the player can't be bypassed. when you copy to track the player automatically shifts to "bypass all" so it won't work a sec...

Re: Building a music production PC

ok but RAM at common ddr3 speeds is already almost instantaneous.. you're not going to get bottle necked by your ddr3 speed that's for damn sure. you're better off upgrading your main storage to SSD, which he already is planning on ammirite??? so from there i recommend CPU first because it'll allow ...

Re: Building a music production PC

on second thought, don't skimp on power supply, and motherboard would probably be another quality area to invest in. but you don't need an expensive GFX card, don't need expensive fast ram chips, don't need fancy water cooler nonsense, don't need a fancy expensive case, you don't even need a disc dr...

Re: Building a music production PC

i would say, of all your components, really spend on your CPU. the rest you can kind of skimp on.

i recommend the cheap gfx card because it takes load off your CPU which can be invaluable when running big projects. It won't impact your performance drastically otherwise though.

you cynical bastards need to give it a try. they're seriously awesome. bending and manipulating MIDI so quickly and intuitively is a blast, and allows quick and creative stuff to just pour out of you... i'll admit, i am no key player. i'm a drummer. so i suppose i'm the key target for these devices,...
