Re: Rebirth Emulation
The E-Note Silverbox combinator is similar, don't know if it's the same person?!? Although some of the settings are way off! With modification you have got a modern phat 303 sound from Thor albeit with modified envelopes. Add Scream 4 distortion and the wonderful (for bass) E Type cab sim, Valhalla ...

Re: Audio crackling/pop
On Windows 10 setup with all the power saving options off (been set like that since I installed it) and I'm getting this as well. It's not the processor cores being hammered as I get it at 1 bar DSP. Just installed the latest Reason 12 update and it's still a problem.

Re: Producing through "mastering" chain?
I've done it and can't make up my mind if it sounds better or worse!
I think the main issue is if you revisit a track and gut it for it's elements. You often end up having to include the mastering chain as the individual parts can sound out of whack without them.

Well let's hope not. For all it's faults Reason is a solid DAW and you can get good results out of it.

Re: (Jungle) University Challenge
Updated link. Sorry for the bump! I tried to get the master louder because the Youtube normalisation process reduces the level by 5.6db. It is a pretty loud master hovering around -8 LUFS in keeping with similar tracks, Youtube likes -14 apparently! Tried a few things including -14 but it was worse ...

Re: Tape Delays?
There's better sounding tape delay plug-ins out there. The breakout is the thing that elevates The Echo. I mean you can just insert Audiomatic in Gadget or VHS mode for interesting flavours of delay. You have got to be very careful with any increased gain, as the feedback loop gets out of hand fast ...

I knew the chord generation thing was added at the last update but couldn't work out how to do it. Cheers!

Fender Chroma Polaris Refill
Got the refill (think it was just sampled presets) but it has somehow got corrupted and shows bad format in reason's browser. Can't for the life of me remember where I got it from and a quick google doesn't yield anything. Was going to make a track from the lovely phat sounding presets but never got...

Re: (Jungle) University Challenge
I was expecting heavy bigbeat sounding drums to drop. Nice restraint sticking with the thin natural-sounding drums I was aiming for straight-laced evolving to dirtier. Old school leanings, a sprinkle of 93 Darkcore, without too many obvious rinsed to death samples. Three different drum breaks, some...

Good workarounds but yeah I don't have either RE.
It's such a small oversite that makes both players a chore to use, instead of the instant fun there supposed to be!

Re: Transport triggered devices running out of sync
Going to have to find the song files which caused the problems, It happened more than once! Trouble is I've moved on, working on other things and have just avoided the workflow that caused the problem (I don't use Beatmap anymore), because I couldn't be bothered fighting with it. It's definitely an ...

I know. It's a shame because Polar and Synchronous in particular feel incomplete and only need minor tweaks to make them so much more useful.

Synchronous Update
A tiny request this one! To me Synchronous would be more complete with a master pan control so you can do sequenced panning with all it's lovely shapes and FX. It would be pretty much perfect with a few more filter types, a frequency shifter in the distortion section and being able to drag the modul...

Polar Update Delay Comp
Would be a nice to have delay compensation built-in!
Maybe a changeable panel for the delay shifters volume and dry volume to a simple combined Dry/Wet knob so you don't have to mess about with a combinator or additional RE to have it operate like The Echo's roll function!

Beat Map and Drum Sequencer Note Lock
Currently when you change presets all the the note assignments are reset to defaults (C1 ascending). Some Kong and Redrum kits have the individual hits organised in different ways. Sometimes entire refills or folders worth of kits have the same setup, that differs from the default C1 ascending. It w...

Re: Transport triggered devices running out of sync
Pretty sure the old stock sequencers don't do it. So it seems like a bug with Players/RE's where there is a sequence of more than 1 bar. No one has had the same problems then huh? TBH there's quite a few weird bugs I have never got to the bottom of like: 1) Envelopes randomly not retriggering with o...

Transport triggered devices running out of sync
Found an annoying little bug which has been around for a long time. Seems to be any pattern device triggered by the transport. I can get Beatmap (Player) and Propulsion (Instrument) to do it most often. Move the playhead around and press play in a random place on the time line, mid bar, wherever and...
