Re: Does this kind of RE exist?

I know this is a kludge, but you know what I do? I just drag all the synth components (Thor, NNXT etc) from each Combi into just the one Combinator. That way all the separate instruments are still routed to their own effects chains in their original Combinators or Mix Channels, but all are triggere...

Re: Does this kind of RE exist?

Perhaps I didn't quite say that right, but I don't want to play each of the combi instruments separately, I want to play them all at the same time with one midi controller. Is that possible?

Does this kind of RE exist?

Alrighty, so I think we can all agree that a super combi would be magically delightful. But here is why I need a super combi - Reason (to my knowledge) only allows you to play one instrument track lane at a time. I use Reason extensively in a live setting and have about 8 combi instruments I want to...

Re: What about the super combinator?

So here is my question - So we can't put a combi in a combi because of possible sizing issues - but we could if the new combi just looked like a rack head and then whatever below it was actually included "in" the sub-combi until a new combi rack broke it into another chain. My question is this: Comb...

Re: ReCycle

And then, from a business standpoint, why would Props include a program for no extra charge when they have charged and can still charge full price for it? I suppose, to me, the reason that PH would combine them is for the same reason that PH combined Record and Reason - when you are wanting to give...

ReCycle

So I am curious, why is it that this is NOT included Reason? I understand that back in the days of Reason 2 and 3 recording wav forms inside of Reason was not really easily doable, so having a separate program to handle such a task was necessary. But it is now Reason 8.3, several years later, and au...

Re: Free update to Distort Chain

Alrighty, so after a real solid testing and frequent user of this device, there is only one "request" that I would LOVE to see put into this device. Seeing as though this has become a true CV beast machine (with the allowed ability to CV into itself, no less), I would absolutely LOVE to have the CV ...

Re: Orbis Wavetable Synthesizer Preview

Of course, I also have no idea how this synth is rigged to work, so the osc section may still very well work without the need of the wave-shape area, and the wave-shape area may just act as only a modifier for the osc, at which point that makes since to move the on/off to the wave-shape area if that...

Re: Orbis Wavetable Synthesizer Preview

:o Orbis Wavetable Synthesizer Preview spot the difference ! The lights for the "on/off" have moved location to the wave selection instead of next to the volume knob in the osc section. ;) Personally, I actually liked them next to the volume knob (the first post's picture) as it easily shows me whi...

Re: Orbis Wavetable Synthesizer Preview

I am stoked about this! I love the clean layout, it reminds me a lot of if Korg, Access, and Oberheim had a bizarre, yet cute, love baby. The only additional thing I would personally love to see on this would have a dedicated SUB OSC section. Either way, I can't wait to give this thing a whirl (espe...

Re: Anyone using the McDSP EQ's?

OK, to be clear it is "phasing" that makes EQs work - without phasing, no EQ. The "phasing" produces the EQ effect (simplified version) and so for any phase difference you get the same EQ curve. That is to say, you can't add more phase differences to an EQ without changing the curve - in other word...

Re: Anyone using the McDSP EQ's?

I would have preferred some sort of tube modeling for this unit based on the description that it is said to be "a software emulation of modern tube-based equalizers". I can definitely agree with that statement as well :-D So I am wondering if what the tech was talking about, the difference in pushi...

Re: Anyone using the McDSP EQ's?

Not at all. They are just digital EQ's, no added analog modelling.. they have nice analog *curves* but that's it, they are easy to use to get results.. But technically any Digital EQ can do exactly the same by using an analyzer and copying the curves. Actually, this is not true. I called McDSP yest...

Thanks for the Coming update MB ! Re: Nautilus Bass Synth is in the shop (9 euros!)

I am confused. If everyone on here is saying how awesome it sounds, why does it have a 3.9 rating? Is this because the people on here who like it are not reviewing it, or is it because this device doesn't really meet real expectations? I mean, for $9 my expectations are just about jack-squat, as tha...

Re: For Reason 7 Users, What feature will make you to upgrade to Reason 9?

I have been on the fence about upgrading to 8, as I currently use 7. My main concern for upgrade is price (I missed out on the $99 upgrade to 8.3 deal back in August). There are, however, three features I would really like to see. 1) Better pitch correction. Neptune is pretty bad. It's not awful, it...

Re: McDSP 670 + Kuassa MP5 = TubeTec?

You can use just Reason to see EQ curves however! If you put white noise (from Thor, Subtractor, or any other source, just be sure to turn all filters off if possible) through the EQ of your choosing, and view it on the spectrum analyzer, you can get a good idea of the curve and band width of any E...

Re: McDSP 670 + Kuassa MP5 = TubeTec?

I use FuzzMeasure http://supermegaultragroovy.com/products/fuzzmeasure/ to get incredibly accurate frequency plots. It can also show phase and distortion too, making it especially handy for determining how much 2nd and 3rd harmonic distortion is present. I do not own a Mac, and this is one of the f...

Thank you for all of the insight on this Selig! This is part of why I love these forums is because of the true analytical perspective that the senior admins add to the mix. On a slightly different but still relevant note, how do you analyze these curves as being the same? With graphical EQs it is ea...

Re: McDSP 670 + Kuassa MP5 = Pultec?

The McDSP 670 is (more or less) an emulation of another device, the Fairchild 670 compressor... I guess that is where I was confused as well. I was having a hard time understanding why combining the McDSP 670 and the MP5 would magically make a TubeTec clone, as I had thought I had read before that ...

Re: McDSP 670 + Kuassa MP5 = Pultec?

Indeed, and I have read the product description in the past when I was considering picking it up. But I heard that by chaining the 670 with the MP5 that the user can then fully emulate the full Pultec EQ and not just part of it. I guess my question is, can combining the 670 and MP5 really pull off t...

McDSP 670 + Kuassa MP5 = TubeTec?

A while back ago I heard something mentioned towards the extent that if you combine the two, you can generate a very sweet sounding Pultec emulation. Is this true/how does one route these two into becoming the poor man's TubeTec?

I know the RE-2A is used a lot on vocals. What else is it good for? Everrryyythiiinnnggg. Haha, but seriously, it is probably one of the best REs out there.
