Battleaxe or Blamsoft Distortion Trifecta i.e. DC1, DC9 and t00b?
To me, I think the "better" is all up to your ears. Personally, I never really liked BattleAx. No matter how I dialed it in, it absolutely destroyed my initial sound too much; it's like almost every "type" sounded more like a bitcrusher than a clean distortion. Some people want that, I am not a fan....

Question for RP verb users.....
I was going to ask if you had tried running two instances of RP-Verb (one for left and one for right) would solve this issue. RP-Verb does in fact act differently than some other reverbs (for example when you hit stop on the track when it is playing, it ends immediately). However, the mono behavior ...

McDSP EQs vs Kuassa MP5
I actually already own the Synapse EQ, which is great for precision based cutting, but I'm looking for something that adds a little more color to my mix. The McDSP EQ's seemed nice enough and were fun to play with, but ultimately I wasn't sure if they were worth the leap. I've always heard people sw...

McDSP EQs vs Kuassa MP5
Did you make your new mix that is in your signature in Reason?Haven't tried the Mcdsp but the MP5 I use on vocals to make them crisp and I use it on low end bass and kick...pultec style all the way for me!:-)

McDSP EQs vs Kuassa MP5
I personally don't really like "vs" threads because usually the two items are very different, but I am curious what everyone's opinion/ears say about these two. Currently the McDSP EQs are on a great sale price ($50 for the set of 3), which happens to also be the sale price of Kuassa's MP5. My quest...

How many of you are using Ozone's Maximizer?
So there is no coloration to the sound with Ozone? I suppose you may correct on my preferences not being geared toward their demos, but the drums that I heard overall sounded a bit more bright, although that could always be part of making the lower volumed high freqs becoming louder. But ultimately ...

How many of you are using Ozone's Maximizer?
Hello all! I saw that the Maximizer is on sale, and I have always kind of eyed it. To be honest I have never really liked the sound of the demos, but I did not want to trial this until I could buy it. At $25 is this a "must have" RE, or is it one of those you bought it and several months down the ro...

Parsec's Vocoder
Videos or sound samples would be amazing and appreciated! At $85 it is still a bit of a leap of faith, so if someone could show me some of what they have done with Parsec's vocoder then I would feel a lot better about buying it. Consider this shameless self promotion time, fellas (and ladies), haha!

Parsec's Vocoder
Hey everyone! So way back when Parsec was first released I downloaded the trial. At the time I was looking for a synth that could produce lush ambient pads and was turned off of Parsec due to its offering of presets. It was not until several months later that I heard that Parsec has a built in vocod...

Synapse Fat Space In THE SHOP
I am still confused. Everyone keeps on talking about the DR-1 like it is a giant reverb. I may be wrong here, but it is the exact same reverb that is included in Antidote. In fact, I ran two instances of the same patch, one through the DR-1 directly and one through the input of Antidote, I dialed in...

What mic are you using, if you don't mind me asking? The vocals are very smooth and I am curious if that is more of a mic or thanks to the compressorIt's on 80% of the vocals and used extensively thruout the instrumentals i produced

Real Talk - McDSP Compressors
Good afternoon everyone! I know I made a previous thread about McDSP's EQ's but I wanted to keep these two separate for others and myself to quick reference later. I was curious about the McDSP compressors and had a few questions for you all. 1) Who is using them? 2) Why these over Softube, Cakewa...

Real Talk - McDSP EQ's
Good afternoon everyone! I was curious about the McDSP EQ's and had a few questions for you all.
1) Who is using them?
2) Why these over Lab-ONE, Kuassa, Softube, Synapse, etc?
3) How exactly are these different from any other EQ on the market?
4) How are you using them in your tracks and on what?

McDSP on Sale!
On a side note, how much DSP usage does the McDSP stuff take? I know that people have complained about other company's compressors and EQs (U-He, Lab-One, etc) making a hit on their system performance, I was curious if the McDSP REs were the "solution" or if they only add to the CPU all-you-can-eat ...

Well I just finished a deep scan with Recuva and it looks like there is zero luck in going to get to salvage it. Thanks everyone for the help/suggestions.

Now you say its a USB flash drive. You're probably in luck because these shouldn't support the trim command. Unfortunately I was cleaning my USB flash drive, and had my Reason Refill folder open from my internal hdd. I guess I must have clicked up on the internal folder saw "Reason Refills" and kil...

I just deleted my entire collection of refills...
Sadly the files did not end up in the trash as the folder was "too large" to fit in the recycle bin. I will definitely be searching through some of my old drives when I get home, hopefully I did not wipe them clean... I will definitely still be missing the ones from more recent years, but something ...

I just deleted my entire collection of refills...
After hitting ctrl+z for the last 5 minutes it looks like sadly there looks like there is no way to undelete :'( And of course, no backup. I have my songs backed up, but it never really crossed my mind to backup my refills once I merged all of my old drives to this one. On the bright side, at least ...

I just accidentally deleted what I thought was my refill folder on my flash drive. Turns out, it was my actual collection of refills I have collected since Reason 3+ :m0358: And there goes years and years of rare and one off refills that I will never see again. Sad panda :'( https://s3.amazonaws...

That Music Company's Spring Sale: +60% off
Honestly, Mr. OverDrive is totally worth the price of admission. I don't use the overdrive portion of that RE much, but the stereo spread on that RE is amazing. If there are any RE-Tron users out there that do not have Mr. OverDrive, demo it, turn off/bypass all the filters, turn down the output vol...

To me, I would just like to be able to put combinators inside of combinators. It is absolutely mind blowing to me that this hasn't been doable ever in Reason. :m0358:

Quick question about Leveler
Ah okay! I didn't know if there was like a "reverse peak meter" kinda thing :-) Thanks for the response! On a side note, I saw you post a sample of a piano that had basically no decay, using Leveler as an "extreme" effect. What were your settings on the piano to get the decay to hang like that? It w...

Quick question about Leveler
So I noticed on the tutorials/pdf that you take the max db of your vocal's volume, and the minimum, and then calculate from there. Well, is there an easy way to see what the minimum is? I know that Leveler automatically detects highest, which is great, but is there an easy way to see the smallest wi...

Republik Handheld Percussion in the shop!
JiggeryPokery - Will this RE eventually have Audio In to really take advantage of the filters/reverbs? I also agree with the surprise of lack of CV for the filters. Any chance that these would be added later?
