yoo this is huge because it's all the plugins in 1, and there's an actual interface! i had always used a convoluted combinator workaround to use them. if you never messed with airwindows there's some real gems in there

Re: Reason 13 Gain Tool <—> Selig Gain
Either way, it's long overdue to have a stock device like ableton's utility.
i can only hope it uses 0% cpu like a lot of other stock devices. if that's the case, i'll end up using it like 100 times in each project lol

Re: Announcing Reason 13
ok im excited for that delay unit. im trying to see whats goin on in the back of those devices. Assuming there's a CV out for the sidechain tool, we could use it as a custom drawn LFO, right? Similar to routing a Europa envelope to a CV out? As far as workflow is concerned, drag n drop from browser/...

Re: Subtractor can do wicked synth bass, and.......
this is late, but i thought of another couple things subtractor is good for. I was making neuro basses with randomly generated filter/eq movement. Subtractor's LFO worked the best for a smooth sample n hold and zero cpu. 15 separate subtractor LFO's into all 5 peak filters in GQ7. One for every Freq...

Re: Battle of the RE samplers
this is unhelpful for you, but mimic is probably your best bet, unfortunately.
not having something equivalent to ableton's simpler/sampler is one of my biggest gripes. I just wish I could precisely loop and crossfade a sample but mimic is kinda sloppy about it

Re: Subtractor can do wicked synth bass, and.......
The main reason I created this topic is that the subtractor uses 0 cpu, hence you can go nuts and stack 20 of them and be fine on a modest PC. When I say 0, I mean 0 (like 0.01%). With Reason 12's rack device cpu load display features, even playing super long release pads and setting subtractor's p...

Re: Anyone developing a mixer?
cool thread. im just now getting caught up on it. here's my 2 cents. for sound design, I always combinator my instruments and use a mixer 14:2 in said combi. this might just be me, but i never even use the send returns and instead just wire them back to a channel in the mixer. that way i can make se...

Re: "Black Friday Week" sales have begun in the Reason shop!
i impulse bought tribute for $9 during a prior sale, and it has since become one of my favorite filters. I barely ever even use the synth part of it. it's a powerful creative filter for me. not only does it have super steep, normal filters, it's got a bunch of fun creative ones. the spread knob is w...

Re: Looking For A Signal Chain Utility
But this is easy to build RE in the same way with optional selection of 4-channels variable routing to stereo out (4in / 1out stereo) to organize FX-chain loop. I plan to make it after this 2 Reswitch In / Out utilities, and forgot.. but have already prepared project for this. If this interesting, ...

Re: Looking For A Signal Chain Utility
I spent some time figuring out how to make it with stock devices, kinda. I think I figured it out with 2 FXs but 3 FXs was much harder. Using 2 switches, I could only get these 4 combinations: A->B->C, B->A->C, C->A->B, C->B->A. 4 out of the 6 possible combos aint bad tho. Still a fun experiment. Yo...

Re: Looking For A Signal Chain Utility
The idea I mentioned of an option to toggle would be for experimentation and not necessarily trying to land on a specific order and to maybe hear an order of effects you otherwise may not have tried. this! I wanna throw a sample and hold LFO on the signal chain selector knob (or whatever it should ...

Re: Looking For A Signal Chain Utility
I know this isn't the solution you are looking for, but just to be sure, are you aware of holding Shift while dragging a device to reroute it? I still think it would be good for them to present this as a preference, in which the current behavior of holding Shift could be the default, but you could ...

Re: Looking For A Signal Chain Utility
Yea this is the closest thing to what i'm thinking of. Except the reswitcher has 1 input --> 4 outputs. I'm looking for 1 input --> 1 output, with 3 or 4 inserts in between, where we can switch the order of those inserts with 1 knob

Looking For A Signal Chain Utility
Hello reasontalk. So I'm trying to figure out if this exists. While making some multi FX combinators, I'd like to quickly switch the order of 3 or 4 racks. For example, lets say I have a signal chain that goes: distortion -> compression -> delay. Instead of having to rewire the order, id like to tur...

Is it just me or is the new really spiffing browser pretty much the same as the old one but slower? I dont use the search function cause I’m really organised but all I’ve noticed is that I’ve had to rebuild all my favs folders because the ones from R11 can’t be edited at all in R12 and this indexin...
