Like it! Like previous posters I use to use melodyne, but it completely replaces it for me. Really smooths up workflow.

Re: R9 download speed...solved
I had no luck downloading the R9 with soundbanks. When the download started, it said it would last many hours or days. Then I tried just downloading R9 without the sound banks. When I installed, it downloaded the soundbanks in a few minutes. I highly recommend going this route: Download without sou...

Re: R9 download speed...
For anyone looking to go the non-torrent route: I was actually about to go the torrent route, but tried what someone else posted a few posts ago and so far it looks like it is working. Download R9 without the sound banks (took me about 5-10min). Open R9 and a pop up pops up and states you need sound...

Re: R9 download speed...
Anyone try to download it (R9 w/soundbanks) recently from site?
Earlier it was taking 12-15 hours, but failed.
Tried to restart it again and I am getting internal 500 error now.

Re: Upgrading Reason Freom Hard Copy Question
You should not have any problems, in fact you could download from the Reason site ( https://www.propellerheads.se/download/reason8/ ) and wait the license number from the hard copy. Hey thanks for the answer. I just downloaded it. I totally forgot you can download the whole version like that (to de...

Upgrading Reason Freom Hard Copy Question
Quick question for anyone who has done this or knows. Ok I have some credit at musicians friend site. They sell the Reason 8 upgrade there. I want to use the credit and purchase the 8 upgrade from them. I called and it is NOT an instant download. So they will be sending me a hard copy. I have been u...

Re: Pulsating Rhythm Sound/Technique Questions?
Here is a Thor patch that is I thing interchangeable with the one from the video. The trick is all in setting up the Seq to run from the Button and then the Seq pattern. Note minimal use of FX to keep it raw. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6869239/Everything%27s%20Gone%20Ordered.thor Here is a...

Re: Pulsating Rhythm Sound/Technique Questions?
Well if you draw in your 16th notes rather than using Rpg8 or whatever then it just comes down to the amp and filter envelopes on your synth. Bring all the adsr sliders or rotaries down to zero then increase the decay of the amp env until it's about the right length. Increase the sustain until you ...

Re: Pulsating Rhythm Sound/Technique Questions?
Step Note RE does look tasty - I will for sure be demoing it and most likely pick it up.
I am a sucker for in the rack sequencers.
How about sound? It seems like they are extremely short pulses that cutoff pretty quick. How would you go about achieving the right sound for this 16th note pulse?

Pulsating Rhythm Sound/Technique Questions?
Hello, I have two questions. I am a big fan of New Order and love their early 80s stuff (Temptation, Everything's Gone Green, Hurt, Ceremony, Procession, etc.). In a lot of their early 80s synth heavier stuff (Temptation and Everything's Gone Green specifically) they have this 16th note synth pulse ...

Hi Hat Pattern Name?
A lot of songs in many genres have this rhythmic pattern pattern that is usually played by an open hi hat (it also can be played by other percussive instruments, synths, etc.) on every other 8th note, or if you where counting in 16ths (like redrum's sequencer) it would be on the 3, 7, 11, and 15th n...

How do you get this bass sound?
Anyone know how to get this bass sound... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvuGVzwYyhk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DSVDcw6iW8 It seems simple, but probably not. It is really big, wide, overpowering (in a good way) and chorus-y sounding, but still able to sit nice in the mix on those two tracks. ...

How to test how much cpu REs are using?
Get ready for probably a dumb and extremely simple question :s0717:
I hear a lot of people say things like this RE uses a lot of cpu or this RE uses a little cpu, etc., how do you actual test that or know?
Thanks

Are we not able to download free rack extensions anymore?
I was trying to download polymodular cv splitter and I hit purchase, it should take me to the download page but it does not. Then I tried to download RE180 Dynamic Driver and same thing.
Am I doing something wrong?

Do you layer things??
I know it probably depends on the song, part, sound, etc.
But do you layer parts to make them fatter, thicker, wider, etc.?
If so do you do it often? And what do you like to layer: leads, pads, drums, bass?
Thanks
