huggermugger wrote: ↑18 Oct 2022No, that was just an example. You would set up a Combi (Korg M1 lingo for a multitimbral patch), and assign each of the 8 parts to a particular output. Doesn't matter which presets go where.

Re: Hardware Korg M1 Question
I used to have an M1. Great keyboard. As others have said it's worth getting the VST version. More presents/banks, better filter, easier to use. Though the M1 vst (which I have) sounds brilliant, I am amidst trying to get a fully hardware set up as I think the real hardware sounds a bit better but ...

Re: Hardware Korg M1 Question
Thanks. Sorry about the late reply. Let's see if I'm following this correctly, so basically I can play 4 presets / patches at the same time? You can play 8 presets at the same time, if you're willing to blend some of them on the physical outputs of the M1. For example: Stereo Pad - out 1,2 (L,R) St...

Re: Hardware Korg M1 Question
I had an M3R rather than M1, but found using "combo" which was monotimbral (one part), it sounded great, but using multi-timbrally it was pretty lame. Not only because you lose the layering of combos, but the FX are global (if I remember correctly) and a big part of the sound design. If I had an M1...

Re: Hardware Korg M1 Question
The M1 was 8 parts multi-timbral, and it had four audio outputs too. You could play 8 different presets at the same time, split amongst the four outputs as needed. The first two outputs could be used as stereo L/R or as two monos. Thanks. Sorry about the late reply. Let's see if I'm following this ...

Hardware Korg M1 Question
Hi All!
On an actual hardware Korg M1, in a project, could you only use 1 preset coming from the Korg M1 or is it possible to have 2 or more?
Thanks!

Hi All! I've been having trouble getting a Behrigner TD-3 working through my Behringer Eurodesk SL3242FX-Pro Mixer. Apparently the internal clock source has been changed to USB (I think) to run via USB through Abelton. I will include a screenshot below of a section of the manual on how to change th...

Re: Behringer TD-3
INT is the one you want, I think. That will stop and play at the rate set on the TD-3. MIDI means it only runs when a MIDI clock is fed to the unit. Yeah, I was guessing if he had Midi connected, usb, or trig. He didn't say! Just it's connected to a Behringer piece of gear (Audio card with midi? Us...

Re: I was there ! (electronic musics at the start of history)
That's the name of the band is it, "Space"? as there was a 90's Britpop band called Space. Yep. Space was a project by Didier Marouani. They made a few albums (I think, I only have the Magic Fly album), but the Magic Fly title song of the album was the only big hit they had, mostly in Europe IIRC. ...

Re: I was there ! (electronic musics at the start of history)
The melody in that track is very Floydy. Certainly, that's one reason I like it, as I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan. But I do have both the Space album and the Paris France Transit album, both in vinyl, and the Space album also on CD, so it's not just the floydian influences :puf_bigsmile: That's the nam...

This masterpiece is even a decade older and was way ahead of its time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZavwtJxmqJI Didier did some more beautiful stuff later, as Paris France Transit (funny they say "Space" instead of PFT on that video) : https://youtu.be/ReBAQ2aqeEw The melody in that track is ver...

Re: What age bracket do you fall in? Curious about the RS demographics!
This was brought up at the end of a locked thread, but it’s something that I’m curious about. I do wonder if the simple fact that we’re on a message board might skew the results toward being older, as younger people might be far less likely to use/join message boards. Oh yeah, wouldn't have thought...

Re: Reason Studios Chord Sequencer in the shop
Would recommend people watch the live stream particularly the part where they cable out from the root note output into a Bassline Generator with scales and chords on top set to the same scale as chord seq. Already started a few songs this way, it's very inspiring. As is often the case when using pl...
