Re: Who is buying reason 11 tomorrow

Also Re: Who is buying reason 11 tomorrow, like many others here on R10 as their only DAW there is very little value in updating to R11 so it's a no. I don't need/want new FX (the chorus sounds nice, sweeper not impressed), the SSl racks are a nice addition (I'm a big fan of the SSL EQ). The tiny am...
I'd suggest you reach out to support.
Hi, how does one reach out to support these days? I just tried to log in to my props account and my log-in details are gone. The reset password email link didn't work. Set-up a new log-in using existing email address but now cannot sync REs or ...

Re: 4MER WaveShaper Synth is in the Shop!

Hi, I was browsing through the presets and found problems with some of them. By moving the MOD wheel and/or selecting one of the OSCs (1 2 3 4 buttons) it changed the sound (other than what MOD wheel was assigned to). I had to reload the preset to get back to the original patch. Can anyone confirm t...

That's a great video! Well scripted and presented. I hope other devs see this and might consider getting you involved with their REs :)

Re: Selig ART Tape: Ampex

Thanks for this Selig! I love the tape setting on audiomatic and use it quite a lot, mostly on synth sounds.
VHS is second favourite followed by Bottom which is sometimes useful.

I hope I can get some useful tweaking out of this combi patch, thanks a lot!

Re: Using Thor for a Beach

Some nice patches here! Here's my attempt I made a few years ago. It's more of a shorter crashing sound, with lots of fizz (using echo which does sound a bit noticeable).

VIDEO: Music as Medicine (a review of some of the latest research)

Looking at those statistics, quite a few of the claims are quite a pretty far stretch. Esp as most of these "studies" seem to have a very limited sample size (everything with less than 10k randomly chosen participants is prone to be biased.) and possibly a large number of observables that then lead...

Rhodes sound

Hi Grifty/Selig, thanks for pointing out the differences. Liked the sound from the middle of the video (the Rhodes) more than the Vibra. The part that starts at 8:55. How can I make that vibrato effect? Thanks! Pulveriser is great for this. Check out this PH video applying this to a Rhodes sound. E...

Rhodes sound

First off, that's not a Rhodes, it's a Vibraphone. So I'd suggest starting by checking out the FSB under Bells and Mallets, starting with VIBRAPHONE, Vibes II, and Vibes on Stage. :) It starts off with a vibraphone but changes to a rhodes after 5.20 mins for the the actual plug demo. I don't know m...

CV to MIDI - what are the limitations?

There is a reason song available which will give you exactly what you need. I believe James Bernard, Mathias or someone did it as template along with a tutorial video and this give endless automation curves (parabolic, etc.) ready to drop into your project as required. Unfortuntely, I have lost a l...

Help please: "Failed to load ID8 preset. Your installation is damaged. Please reinstall Reason."

Hi, this is probably a problem with the soundbanks being out of date. I'm guessing you are trying to install 8.2? Try moving the FSB and orkester out of the reason folder then re-install and it should automatically download them whilst it installs. I think others had had this happen and re-downloadi...

Selig Tracking EQ Combinator

You can alternatively use the input signal as the MComp source, allowing dynamic EQ ducking triggered by the sound itself instead of an external (aka "side chain") input. This would allow you to EQ an instrument relative to the note being played, to increase or decrease a certain specific harmonic ...
