Re: Prince is dead.
That's really sad news. My condolences to his family and friends. I'll remember him as one of the most talented and skilled composers, (multi-instrumentalist) musicians and performers of all times. Moreover, I'll always respect him as a man who's got the guts to fight for his rights and for his art...

Re: Strange problem with 220 samples from WBF in Kong
I'm using 220_E tom samples from WBF, and have this issue where I hit the drum pad once (or trigger from the sequencer) and the sample keeps repeating. This does not occur with any other samples from WBF or elsewhere--only the 220_E tom samples. Any ideas as to what might be going on? Hi G, it seem...

Re: Switching to Logic Pro. Some Reflections
Hi Klaus, first of all I respect and appreciate your opinion. But there are some things in what you've written here that caused some questions to come up. to 1: To me, Dave Spiers seems to be one among those who are blaming the PPH's SDK for not being suitable for their (sample based) VIs to be port...

Digital Performer 9 for any kind of surround sound production, mostly with Reason 'strapped on' via Rewire. Sometimes I use Digital Performer just as a video playback machine while the music comes out of Reason only. That combination of Reason and Digital Performer gives me the perfect set of tools...

Re: Advice for new external sound card
Thanks for the replies, can anyone point good alternatives (brand/models) to Scarlett ? just in case.. Just to turn this debate from Focusrite back to your actual question: Well, from my perspective the MOTU Ultralite Hybrid or the Ultralite AVB seem to be good candidates to do the job. Both device...

Yes! Yes! Yes! They finally made it!!! That's really amazing and great news, indeed! I just read another article about it. And as a positive side effect of this awesome scientific discovery I won 250,- Euros in a bet that I had running with a former colleague of mine. He claimed that gravity has no ...

Re: Pitch Bend Audio Files?
There's no need to buy a RackExtension for that purpose. Just put Neptune into the channel's Insert that you want to apply a Pitch Bend effect to. Neptune seems to be the right device in this case because can easily be controlled via Pitch Bend and Mod Wheel. Now create a sequencer track for Neptune...

Re: IO card/box to record singing in reason while listening to reason
Hi Mark, my suggestion is MOTU's UltraLite AVB audio interface, which gives you plenty of signal routing and monitoring options since it comes with an internal 48-channel mixer, whereof each channel has its own EQ, Noise Gate, Compressor and Aux Sends. I think if you'll be running the MOTU in conjun...

Great article. Gonna post that good ol' xiph video here as well for those who still don't understand _why_ there is no "pixels" or "resolution" in digital audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIQ9IXSUzuM Sounds like a flat earth society guy to me! http://media.danoah.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/0...

Re: The Science of Sample Rates Article
Interesting article. But still some people want to believe in audio esoterics because it probably makes them feel better, which I'm fine with, so far. But if those people start to sell their beliefe systems as the ultimate truth then it gets problematic, IMHO. Therefore, I like articles like those a...

When it comes to Reverb ... what do you use beneath the RV7000? don't say the RV-7 :puf_bigsmile: It's funny that you've mentioned the RV-7. Well, I got to say that I really love this "old lady" to be used on vocals and on Brass sections. If you daisy-chain the RV-7 with some other FX units, let's ...

Re: Sunset Sound Drum Setup - Warren Huart: Produce Like A Pro
Yeah, I know that guy, Andrew Levin. Despite winning a Golden Bobby in 2014 (he got my respect for winning that award), IMHO he's talking allot of ridiculous nonsense, (especially on Musotalk) in order to make himself shine. It appears to me that his so called 'tests' are actually more or less inten...

Try Bitley's Way Beyond Fairlight ReFill and have a look at the ReFills coming from Soundcells. There you'll probably find what you're looking for. BTW: Synthwave is fantastic, isn't it? I mean guys like Betamaxx, Mitch Murder, Com Truise, Teslaboy, etc. make really nice instrumentals in terms of mu...

"In any synth, try a highpass filter in front of the common lowpass. Keep the highpass at a very low frequency, add – if possible – a little resonance. As paradox as this sounds, that can boost your bass big time!" Great tip! Correct! That's the way you can get really punchy and percussive bass sou...

Very interesting RE that probably is a great complement to PPH's A-List Guitar RE's. I'm gonna give it a try as soon as it will be released. BTW, I find the GUI of this RE is a pretty neat one.

So, if i have for example a plucky synth going on. And i have set the notes in the sequencer, couple 1/8th notes in a row, their Sounds slightly differ from each other. How can i fix that? Hmm, without getting more detailed information, it's hard to tell what may have caused that behavior. I assume ...

Speaking of RP Verb, is it as similar to verb in Predator as the DR-1 is to Antidote? Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk No, RP Verb is goes far beyound what you can do with either Predator's or Antidote's iternal Reverb effects. I don't fin RP Verb to sound 'natural', but it has its own characte...
