Re: Are Miroslav actually better than orkestor
IMHO, Miroslav is super dated, unless you get it for like 30 usd max, you're just throwing money away! I stil have it on my computer for legacy old projects but I don't use it anymore. On other hand i use some violin falls from the orkester! :) Miroslav is layered differently than the orkester, it h...

Re: [A Capella SATB Choir] - Cartoon Medley Cover
Giles, Freaking auto punch in with pre-roll is super effective for audio and midi! Plus retrospective recording. I really need to get my head on Cubase remote and begon with it - worst case scenario, sell my BCF2000's and BCR2000 and buy something newer with better integration with cubase and at lea...

Re: Reason 12.2.9
what's your verdict on the SSL redrawing ? It's utterly pants here. If you've not tried it, just add a load of SubTs or whatever to a new document, more than will fill the mixer, and try to scroll. It's really laggy here :( I'm not aware of any scrolling redraw lag with the Rack, fwiw. Well Matt, I...

Re: [A Capella SATB Choir] - Cartoon Medley Cover
Reason is still the first place I go to get ideas started, but LUNA is now where I go to finish them! ;) Yep, I understand that. But I can see myself sequencing and recording in cubase but I still prefer to mix In reason because I have tbh surfaces working as I want. I also have to invest a little ...

Re: [A Capella SATB Choir] - Cartoon Medley Cover
I was also considering getting Melodyne studio. I'd take care of tuning and sync'ing really fast there, then pull it to Reason for mixing. But the update is so expensive that i can't justify it for now... I didn't know Melodyne had sync capabilities. I'll try to remember that if the task comes up a...

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
On a more positive note, the same song that would crawl to almost a halt plays PERFECTLY at a buffer of 64 samples at the default CPU setting on my new M1 Studio Max. The previous version needed 1024 sample buffers and turning off Multi-Core Rendering to play without glitches. Impressive performanc...

Re: [A Capella SATB Choir] - Cartoon Medley Cover
You know, something that would help working on timmings, would be a simmilar view on Pitch Edit as we have on midi, where you can see multiple tracks at the same time. Great work on those a cappella productions, they can be super tricky! As for seeing other tracks when editing: Non-modal editing wo...

Re: [A Capella SATB Choir] - Cartoon Medley Cover
This was very interesting. It must've been really difficult to pull off. Now, I instantly recognized The Lion King song but am I mistaken in thinking I heard a theme from Dragon Ball as well? My apologies but there is a language burier thing going on so I'm not sure. Thanks! Yeah you did listen to ...

By the way, here are some projects I did during pandemic lockdowns, audio all in Reason… (...) Nice work. Such great singing! Love the video editing too! We did some pandemic stuff, but not only cell phone mics are really bad as managing room acoustics is REALLYYYYYY HARD! This is a good example of...

Re: Reason 12.2.9
Yes, vst2's are working with this version of reason as other versions. Vst3 is in the works but it's not yet in this version. And at graphical level you have a new setting to related to the vst rescaling/zoom so if you have size surprises you should check what is the best setting. No, reason create...

The catch - Are vst compatible or will I get surprises when I pop open a VST - Is there any audio performance loss for doing this? Yes, vst2's are working with this version of reason as other versions. Vst3 is in the works but it's not yet in this version. And at graphical level you have a new sett...

Re: Reason 12.2.9 Release Notes
All my scales are correct (windows and reason) Just look at side by side on my image The solo/mute buttons, text on Reason 12 is quite blurry compared to 11, makes me fell I need glasses, cant tell me you don't see the difference. Plus the shadows are awful, but that's a taste matter. All the small...

Re: Reason 12.2.9
Hi I finally decided to install this version but is it just me, the SSL console looks worst, fonts are blurry, not crisp, fonts are too pale, shadows are exaggerated. I was expecting it to look better. Same at other places but side by side comparison of the SSL, The buttons and fonts look awful. Ju...

[A Capella SATB Choir] - Cartoon Medley Cover
Hi folks, This time i bring you a project from a friend, but produced by me. The thing is a revival of cartoon music from the 80's and 90's, all vocals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=facRTEPXasE All stuff recorded, mixed and mastered in Reason. Some technicalities and project break down: Mics Audi...

Re: Kong vs Redrum vs Umpf.....your favorite and why?
Man, i either use midi files that i alter (groove monkey free stuff for example, or the old Reason Drums 2 refill has lots of midis) and my favorite drum module in Reason is Reason Drum Kit's Re! Amazing kit, imho! For other genres, Kong is a beast, but umpf retro is sweet, so I'll go back and forth...

[New Age] - Lisbon's Rebirth
Hi guys! Been a while since I post in the music forum! This is a song i started to compose while "testing" out Rob Papen Explorer 7, so it's synth sounds are almost entirely from there. Base drums from Rob Papen Drum Punch 2 I also played a portuguese frame drum, a darbuka and some other percussions...

Re: Reason real life limitations.
Actually the advanced pitch bending thing seems to be something you'd work out with portamento in synths and samplers, and reason has that since like almost forever? I guess you'd just need a way to activate and deactivate portamento by midi or CV.

Re: Reason real life limitations.
Actual Reason real life limitations: - No VST3 - No VST MIDI out - No track folders - No markers - No video support Add to that no Auto Punch in, wich for me is more important than any of those (and tbh, is more idiotic for reason not to have, as that was part of freaking ADAT recorders and the mor...

Re: Poll: Hardware or Software. Which is most fun to play?
Hardware into software is in reality, hardware in to hardware that runs software! :) Anyways, i like the touch component of music, so in various ways I play hardware into software, i rarely input stuff into reason with the mouse. First and foremost I play wind instruments and piano, so all my midi r...

Re: What did you just buy yourself?
I'm looking forward to the new CPU's..... In a while I'm going to need a new PC too, as my aging i7-7700 is still doing OK, but for how long? That said I want to use as long as possible, as it is enclosed in a 19 inch housing, living in my 19 inch rack. It is silent, still fast and reliable. I felt...
