Anyways i guess really though, if i want to hit a certain area i can just put my 12dB filter two octaves lower [or higher] and i should get the same results as a 6dB filter [if im not mistaken].

yea, i have other HPF's but i'm trying to use that 6dB LPF, as a HPF ... I'd like a 6dB HPF, without necessarily having to buy something[if possible].

I can remember Selig on the PUF routing the thor in a lot different ways, but can't remember exactly if you can "reverse" the LPF's to HPF's. If so would someone mind showing me again how to set up the matrix... If not, then drats, nvm!

I learned most about the Mcdsp c670, just by looking up what people use a fairchild 670 on. The JJP Puigchild Waves vids are good... as well as any information regarding the 670 [shit, i even read the original manual lol]. Peace, hope that helps.
