Re: Reason 9 is ridicubad...
what would be your wishlist of features for an acceptable Reason upgrade? let's exclude VST support because we know that's on everyone's wishlist and it's not going to happen. hell no i do not want vst support, i like it latency-free. but as we are already there: latency compensation would be a thi...

Re: Reason 9 is ridicubad...
i dont like the whole direction propellerhead is going. there is not the slightest bit im even interested in, actually i even disrespect the kind of devices they introduce. People are still joking about it nowadays but i bet there is already someone at propellerhead working overtime on a "hit butto...

Re: Reason 9 is ridicubad...
of course we shouldn't silence opinions, but doesn't this belong in the other master thread about Reason 9? what makes this one man's opinion so special that it needs a separate discussion? what if we all started making separate threads for our own opinions? sorry for not getting "back on topic", bu...

Re: "...And much more" (R9 speculation)
since there are already people with the beta and the manual, and we haven't heard anyone rave about new features that aren't in the announcement, I'm guessing the "more" is incredibly minor or hidden under the hood.

Re: Reason 9 Officially Announced!
So... I just read the part of the manual about Bounce In Place, and that made me realize how awesome that feature is to me. Before reading that, I figured it's something similar to a track freeze in other DAWs, and wasn't particularly interested, but reading how it could be used creatively was very...

Re: Reason 9 Officially Announced!
Automation has to have "something" to automate - there's no controls for pitch that can be automated (nothing in the inspector can be automated). So I don't see how you can do this unless you use Neptune! Wondering why one would want to add artificial vibrato to a vocal except for as an effect? Can...

question about the chords feature on Scales & Chords... is it possible to also play 7th chords, 9th chords and other more complex chords? or is it just the basic I-ii-iii-IV-V etc It's possible, although not through the keyboard: chords.JPG thanks for the info! that seems pretty... limiting. but I ...

Re: Reason 9 Officially Announced!
aaah nice. darker themes and bounce in place are 2 major things that have been on my Reason bucketlist for forever. now crossing my fingers that grouping & collapsing mixer channels can happen in Reason 9.1 also question for the people playing around with the beta - I'm assuming they fixed any compa...

Re: Heavyocity AEON Now available for Reason
Heaven forbid it might be (and I'm playing devil's advocate here - I've not tried either yet) because it's not very good, or just too limited. I agree with mostly everything you said, but are you sure "too limited" is a good reason to give a poor star rating? when there's no separation between "thi...

Re: Heavyocity AEON Now available for Reason
Just because a dissenting opinion is the "minority report" doesn't mean it shouldn't be heard at all. this discussion is not about trying to silence opinions. it's about people who taint the RE star rating system when they have unrelated download issues, or are disappointed in a "missing feature" t...

Re: Is it worth looking into RE filters?
I'd like to add the AirRaid Elements filter as a great option if you need a high/lowpass in your signal chain. I used to use D-Filter for this purpose, but I noticed that when its LP filter is totally open (but not bypassed), there is a slight but noticeable attentuation above 10kHz. The Elements fi...

Props don't even have an obligation to CREATE a Reason 9, let alone provide it to you on some arbitrary timeline in your head. what a weird attitude to have.

Re: Heavyocity AEON Now available for Reason
I think when you review/rate something, you should ask the question of "what is it trying to do, and does it do that well?". when you start criticizing a device for things it does not have (i.e. CV flexibility), that's where it gets confusing to me. I can take any device I love and still list missin...

Re: Heavyocity AEON Now available for Reason
But you wonder do these newer to reason big developers charge a premium to take advantage of us reason suckers, or it is to cover propellerheads cut of the product that drives up the price. On a quick evaluation at 100 Presets for a 100 Bucks, that is a dollar / euro per sound on watered down versi...

Re: Heavyocity AEON Now available for Reason
i have to say, their graphic design is on point. this just 'feels' like something very unique and high quality by Reason's standards. i'm a sucker for the marketing. also, the shop has been in need of a Kontakt-like library of instant "industry-quality" sounds. the previews nail that modern cinemati...

Re: Any developers interested in making Ableton's OTT compressor?
As for the assertion that Leveler eliminates everything below - 36 dBFS, that's not a device limitation! If you set the target to the highest peak of the audio signal, you can increase a signal down at -48 dB below that point all the way up to the same level as the loudest signal! No other compress...

Any developers interested in making Ableton's OTT compressor?
If you're unfamiliar, Ableton has a multiband compressor with a preset called "OTT" (over-the-top) that is incredibly popular amongst EDM/Dubstep/Trap producers. each band has both downwards and (extreme) upwards compression, and when applied to sounds with a lot of harmonic movement and filtering, ...

Re: Any news?
wow, that sounds wild! a few more questions if you can answer: is the "analyzed" waveform going to be static, or can it be modulated like a wavetable? also how is the quality? will it sound just like a recorded sample, or does the "re-synthesized" FFT sound like something new entirely?

Re: VAC-6 Volume Analyzer & Controller In the Shop -FREE
Thanks for the response - as for default "clipping", the confusion comes for the same reason folks get confused about the red LEDs in the Reason mixer channels. You call it "clipping", but it's not clipping because there's still 6 dB headroom. If you instead called it a "warning" and made it a diff...

Re: PX7 for $49 until 4/24
But keep in mind: people pay this much and more for ReFills. Even if you aren't into programming it or exploring ReFills for modern PX7 sounds; it offers so much value in the presets it includes and the ability to tweak sounds. Try using the macro controls and just flipping through algorithms on di...

Re: PX7 for $49 until 4/24
How is FM8 comparing to PX7? Yes, PX7 is legendary, but other than that? very different. for me, PX-7 is a novelty that i only use if i want those retro DX-7 sounds. and i'll almost always use presets, because it is very cumbersome to program. if you want an FM synth on the level of FM8, that's mor...
