PRE OUTs: After Insert Effects?

Are the PARALLEL (PRE OUT) jacks on the back of a Channel after the Channel's INSERT FX in the signal chain?

Something to check on Windows: make sure hyperthreading is enabled in you BIOS. Mine was, but it could just as easily have been set to disabled.

Re: What’s the best YouTube to MP3 converters?

personally.... record to WAV directly via loopback software. Why? because surprisingly if you rip a compressed format (think Youtube included) such as a Youtube MP4 to MP3 conversion, you're actually degrading the MP3 from the off. If you're doing just the one pass then fine but if you plan on usin...

Re: Reason 8.1 & above CPU Stress Test (songfile included)!

My computer will play very little of that stress test song regardless, but for me, playback stopped the soonest with both multicore and hyperthreading options unchecked and the most lengthy playback (all 1.3 seconds of it) was with both options checked. Intel Core i7-3700 3.40 GHz 8 GB RAM Windows 1...

ReasonTalk Ads are Strange

Despite Google "tailoring" ads for me here, I get an amusing collection of weird ads served up to me on ReasonTalk. Like this one:

Re: Make it go slower!

Yes, that is an option. The way I am using Reason right now is pretty unstructured and un-song-like. I am not using the Sequencer at all. I use it in a way analogous to an aspect of modular synthesizer sound creation in that I connect some stuff together, feed a constant open gate signal to it and ...

Re: Wondering if anyone is interested in a modular section for Reasontalk?

I'm afraid I will be a spectator, only. An eager spectator, but a spectator, nonetheless. Modular is a rich man's racket. Edit: I see I misread. I guess we're talking about using Reason like a modular synthesizer. This is something in which I am highly interested. In fact, I started a lonely thread ...

My first question is can you hear the progress of the LFO that gives you 0.05hz? Why do you need a 0.005hz speed LFO?
Well ... yeah, it's audible. A .07 Hz cycle (in Thor) is only about 14 seconds. A 14 second filter sweep is quite noticable, so yes, I would like a 140 second filter sweep.

Make it go slower!

I am looking for a slow LFO. It seems Thor's bottoms out at .07 Hz. Pulsar, .06 Hz. Elements DS-LFO, .05HZ.

I am looking for something 10 times slower. Does such a thing exist??

Re: Silent Way

You would think Reason users are about as close as you can actually get to modular synth nerds. I would put together a modular synth myself in a heartbeat, if it weren't for the fact that I would be robbing my son of a semester or two of college. I know there are, in fact, some modular users here. A...

I can vouch for the PreSonus iOne (shown on that Sweetwater page. In fact, I think I bought mine from them ...)

I don't usually plug anything into it, so I can't vouch for that part of it, but its driver doesn't crash my pooter, so that's good. :)

I beat you by 2 years Jon; I was 62 at the end of last month. I came relatively late to reason, but I immediately liked working with the software. Now that VSTi's are a thing, I've no reason to go elsewhere. It's true; the older we get the more the medicine cabinet bulges. Pills and potions FTW! Th...
