Re: Play single Kong Pad across keyboard? Help needed!
Screenshot 2024-05-17 at 08.58.26.pngScreenshot 2024-05-17 at 08.56.52.png I think that does what you want but the Kong synth doesn't have a lot of pitch range. I think it might be easier to just use another synth and make a chromatic drum sound there. I tried this and you're right that the BD synt...

Re: Play single Kong Pad across keyboard? Help needed!
Ok, so I'm gonna say that for my purposes the answer is "it can't be done" I can get like 80% there adjusting some of the "808" patches in the Reason library. Can't quite match the pitch decay and "boominess" of the Kong patch though. The Kong compressor is also doing some work that I can't re...

Re: Play single Kong Pad across keyboard? Help needed!
kong is built for the 16 pad inputs, what you are talking about sounds like a sampler such as the NNXT or NN19. record the kick you made in kong into one of those devices or mimic if youve got it That's no good because you have the "chipmunk" effect. I suppose Mimic stretch algos could do it but it...

Play single Kong Pad across keyboard? Help needed!
Kong has always been a bit confusing to me. So, I make an "808" diving bass drum on Kong pad 1. How do I set up Kong to play this single pad chromatically across the keyboard and not just triggered by C3? I want to vary the pitch via MIDI note. Is this possible? It's trivial to do in Maschine but I'...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Has anyone seen system requirements for 13? I don't know why Matthias was being precious about them. I'm guessing this doesn't bode well for my 10.13 Mac Pro even though it's still got plenty of juice for what I do.

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Some of us probably shouldn't be getting to excited because we don't even know what the minimum requirements are to even update to Reason 13 are going to be. I'm still running 10.15.7 Catalina on a 2012 Macbook Pro which I don't intend on upgrading anytime soon. So just think about that before some...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I pestered Props to give us a granular sampler (after the introduction of Malstrom). Like 15 years later we got Grain so don't give up hope for your pet feature requests! Mine is MIDI VST routing. I've been asking for it since Players and VST hosting were introduced so I have quite a few years to wa...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
I don't care for the new design, but what worries me is priority support for Reason+ subscribers. What will be next? Dark theme only for subscribers? Service updates only for subscribers? More than 5kb/s download bandwidth only for subscribers? Was pointing that out really necessary? I now feel lik...

Lol the average age of this forum's users must be like 50. I'm 46 so I can poke fun. We are not the demographic *any* company is targeting. It's no wonder RS barely chimes in on this forum anymore. Everything is a whine-fest I'm not so sure - this is the age that allows expensive hobbies and many f...

Re: Looks like Reason Studios have redesigned their site...
I kinda like it? I mean, it features the DAW side of Reason right there on the front page which is great to see! It's definitely more interesting than whatever was there before. It's "loud" but not everyone can do the minimal/clinical Ableton thing.

Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)
If somebody told me they're working on something I would tend to believe them. Yes, obviously they're working on the next version but I don't see what harm a little update would do. But they've said they are working on it and are committed to Reason. It's like, are Microsoft really working on Windo...

Re: New Roadmap (December 2022)
It's been a minute since we've heard anything. It would be nice to hear *something* even if it's just "still plugging away on the next version of Reason, nothing to report." It's a pointless thing to ask because that is almost always true. And if they did it, the same people would demand more proof...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices
They tried this with Europa a few years ago. It was released as a VST. I imagine sales weren't what they hoped because it has quietly disappeared and no other Reason VSTs have been released. I think it was more technical experiments, because they released a web version at the same time. The idea wa...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices
Hi, I have a question to all Rack Extension fans, about pricing Rack Extensions vs their VST equivalents. Currently we employ the same price for our VST and REs, in order to enable free crossgrades between VST and RE. I was wondering whether it would make sense to give up on free crossgrades in the...
