Reason 9 is the version I've been waiting for. Well maybe it's because I'm still on 7, and 8.3 seemed nice, but knowing 9 was just around the corner kept me waiting until now. Definite upgrade for me.

Still no official announcement? Hate to say it folks, but I doubt props would have sent the websites anything so far in advance of the official announcement. I'm leaning back towards this being a total farce.

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but these new "player devices" could mean that the SDK has been upgraded to allow MIDI to be output from REs to the track. That opens up some new possibilities for developers?

Reason has never crashed on me. For that reason alone I can put up with the snail pace of new features.

It seems the major numbered releases are not as huge as before, with the expectation that there are going to be point releases along the way that make it more and more worthwhile. I passed on version 8, but with continued functionality improvements I'm pretty sure I'll be getting 9.
