Re: REASON 9.5/10 FEATURE REQUESTS
I want video support for scoring to picture... for years now, but I fully acknowledge the tiny subset of users this would cater to.
SDK support for sample loading, on the other hand, would be an enormous move forward for the RE format.

Re: Performance drop with Reason 9
I haven't noticed any appreciable performance differences between R7, R8 or R9 (non-logging beta). I do use more rack extensions than I used to in the past though, so this can skew the perception. Try running Reason at a 1024 samples buffer. This is what DAWs like Cubase and Logic are doing silently...

Re: Will you upgrade to Reason 9?
Does anyone know if the release version is the same as the last beta? The beta I have is 9.0d391 (build 7,202). This beta does not play my songs because it says my computer is slow even though 8 works just fine. I would probably upgrade if it worked. Thanks. I see identical performance between both...

On macOS it's done by holding Shift+Command while scrolling with the mouse wheel. This is probably Shift+Control on Windows.

Re: Best bit crusher Re
I feel like a broken record when it comes to Decimort, but it's easily my favorite bitcrusher on any platform, be it VST/AU/RE. Many can pull off the obvious, but subtlety is where it shines beyond any other I've worked with.

Re: MacBook Pro 2016 rumors: OLED display touch bar
It's sounds very tasty. I've got a 2009 MBP which I would like to upgrade at some point. My problem is I fitted a SSD to it years ago and it still performs great. I upgraded mine to an SSD as well, but nothing comes close to that PCIe-based flash storage. It is ridiculous. Yeah, I opted for SSD wit...

Re: Unison Voice Spread for Thor / Subtractor
For stereo spread, I've had good results using the stereo patch (described on the back of Thor) and three Multi Osc (one left, one right, one center). :) It's a pain though. Antidote gives you full control of all that, within the synth. No additional work required. Thor should have stereo oscillato...

Re: What is the main new feature that make you upgrade to V9
The Players, Pitch Editor and accompanying audio-to-MIDI functions are very welcome additions, but I'm secretly most excited about little "boring" things like the dark theme and Bounce in Place because they impact my workflow immediately. As I gradually incorporate the other new features t...

Re: REASON 9 May have been announced early !?
This thread went so far left. It's really hard to have an opinion on this forum at times without somebody feeling like you've put a gun to their damn head. I'd say it has more to do with how the opinion is expressed. Attitude and tone of voice have as much an influence on conversations in text as t...

Re: REASON 9: The Wait Is Getting Ridiculous
I'm sorry for misinterpreting anything. But saying "ALWAYS 2-3 years behind" sounded to me like an assessment predating Reason 8. Buy as far as developing speed, Reason is being developed much faster and exponentially. It used to be just a rackand every few years we just got new devices. ...

Re: if Reason 9 only changed one thing...
Track freezing. An elegant freezing system would alleviate most CPU overload issues.
I want to see RE SDK changes too, but I suspect those improvements will extend back to R8 as well.

Re: Line 6 is gone
This should serve as a good historical warning sign for technology partnerships between companies. Every time I see a post asking for Propellerhead to license Melodyne (or anything else) for use in Reason I'm immediately reminded of the Line6 situation. This is why I'd rather wait for them to create...

Re: Was Parsec developed by Propellerhead?
Also, Parsec is pretty cutting edge and unique, as was Malstrom, which was also done out of house by Magnus Lidström. BTW, I own Parsec and LOVE IT! Yeah, well like Mattias said it was Pelle who is their in-house DSP guru, who incidentally also developed the software for Nord Lead, and Nord Lead 2....

Re: When Do You Think We Will See Reason 9?
I'm a new Reason user and loving it despite shortcomings but I too would like to have Propellerhead be at least a little more hands on with the userbase. I'm looking at the mix and master bundle which I could certainly use but it's $300 and the hands-off approach has me thinking Propellerhead may b...

Hi gak I am glad you liked the song! Sorry to hear about the crankiness involving an update. I get where you are all coming from. But my crankiness lies with the rack extensions. I am having a hard time finding ones that are suitable for my needs. I feel like a lot of the new RE instruments are rep...

It was built by Propellerhead, mostly by Pelle.
Didn't he also code the Nord Lead?

I have been a fan of Reason since version 4, now run Reason 8.3 and over the years I have bought a load of Refills I'm not sure why I even bothered getting excited over RE Format. Most of them are rather small in size and while they are cool I have a question to ask- If you had all these refills, w...

I was going to say AudioFuse so.......... , maybe the new Babyface PRO from RME ??? It's been fab so far here. Totalmix is great too. 7ms round trip at 44.1k and 128 buffer. Nice and clear. My focusrite FW card is kinda muddy sounding, not sure about the USB cards. I'm on the fence between the RME ...
