"The Reason sound" - ;-)
Every synth sounds different, hardware or software. You can (for example) make a sound with a Juno 106 that you cannot make with a MKS-70, and vice-versa ... I must know, I tried. The most boring synths are those that try to be very general to cover a large domain of sounds. Personally I think the s...

What are your prefered SSL mixer FX?
My SSL FX sends default template looks like this:
1. Titus BBD Delay (simple delay, almost always needed somewhere)
2. - 4. Free for custom effects, depending on project
5. Yamaha SPX90
6. Sony R7 Reverb
7. Lexicon PCM70
8. Lexicon PCM91

Synapse Audio DR-1 & Impulse Responses
I know that it tries to 'emulate' an 80s Lexicon reverb. Although I'm not certain about this I would say in terms of reverb character it is similar to a PCM70. Maybe a PCM60 but I can only compare it with a PCM70.

Reasons Midi Clock sucks
Actually I feel that MIDI sync in R8 has been vastly improved and is very tight. This was never the case with R7. I use a Mac and set up a dedicated Midi Clock Bus via the IAC Driver (In Audio/MIDI Settings) and then I use a free app called MIDI Patchbay to route that clock bus to all kinds of exter...

What do you feel after Publishing a song ?
Exhausted! ... Because it's usually six in the morning after a long night! Also I'm feeling that I can't hear the just published song anymore, because of constant rehearsal. ;) I usually try to get a piece done very quickly, usually not spending more than 2-3 days because otherwise I lose interest a...

Polyphonic Sequencer RE?
Thanks a lot for the replies and suggestions anyone!! I think I have to check out the Hamu Mingler because it sounds like it does what I'm trying to achieve. I got the Korde and Neptune and also Distributor but they work like somewhat different than what I was thinking when I wrote polyphonic.

Anyone with R8 & Nektar Panorama?
PS: To answer your question about the depths of control with Panorama: No you can't load single sounds into Kong with it. It only allows for stepping through patches of a device and to control the various knobs/buttons/faders of a device. You will have to use the mouse and keyboard for more in depth...

Anyone with R8 & Nektar Panorama?
I use the Panorama P6, among some other controllers. I also use quite a couple of hardware synths and effects. The Panorama offers a lot of mouse-free controlling for Reason but be prepared to step through a lot of menus for throughout control. Personally I'm not using it to full effect because it's...

Reason SLL mixer full control with Mackie MCU Pro - IT WORKS!
Hi folks, I just figured out that it's possible to use the Mackie MCU Pro controller fully and dynamically with Reason's SSL mixer ... something I've been searching the Internet up and down for but never found a solution. By default the MCU controls any of Reason's currently focussed device but if y...

Polyphonic Sequencer RE?
Hi, so after Propellerheads threw out their user forums like an unwanted child I finally think I arrived at the right refugee base. To my question: Is there any sequencer RE that can do polyphonic note playback or is there any trick to use any of them (or even Matrix) polyphonically? I.e. there are ...
