Re: Music making should not be taken in a hard way
I don't think you can plan who you are and who you will be. I've always struggled with finding or creating my brand. Because I create varied forms of music... I don't make a particular style. I basically turn on my computer then think what am I in the mood for? and then I go with the flow. There's ...

Re: Recommendations for a mini-pc?
For mini PCs going the used/refurbished route can be quite a cost effective option. But keep in mind that a small case usually comes with the disadvantage of small fans that have to spin fast and thus are more noisy when they have to get rid of heat under heavy load. Used/refurbished desktop PCs fro...

Re: Problem playing sequencer midi notes on a hardware synthesizer
You need to use a MIDI-OUT device in the Rack and set it so that it sends its MIDI to the Take5. Then put the MIDI note you want to send on the corresponding sequencer track of the MIDI-OUT device.

Re: Strange behaviour exporting and importing MIDI files
That's just the limitation (quantisation) of the MIDI data. You can avoid it when you directly copy the clip from one Reason file to the other one.

Re: AI - Cheating or just evolution?
Who have copyright of what? Does all belong to the AI-companies who developed the algoritm? But these algoritms means nothing if they have not been able to scan and sample and have collected endless of reference data that no human even can be able to do in a lifetime. AI is so superior in getting "...

You have to install some virtual audio driver. Virtual audio cable, OBS, voicemeter, or jack should all be able to do the trick.

Re: Device remote annoying thing...
That's very much intentional, as you likely do not want your note input focus to change while dialing in some settings on an effect patch later in the audio chain.

Re: Can't buy synthetic Rig 4... wt????
My guess is that it's also the (too low) version of any perpetual Reason license that's blocking the purchase. Iirc Reason+ subscribers without a perpetual license might not even be able to buy REs, unless that has been changed.

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Hello I am a very visually impaired Reason user. I dream that this DAW will become fully accessible to blind people. I use NVDA software as a screen reader. I know that for a company as large as Reason studios, blind users are a minuscule number, but for these users it is very important that the DA...

I think that feature is a subset of the so called "sequencer improvements" that are requested here on a regular basis.

Re: What does everyone have in the mastering section?
Imho any of these answers are pretty useless unless you also state for what kind of music/genre you're using the said FX chain as that's a pretty big factor in how much processing is needed during mixing/mastering.

Re: horizontal piano roll
That view (piano at the bottom) would be nice for playback, but for recording it should be at the top. So I guess if anything it would be most useful to have a thin, translucent piano roll in the middle of the screen denoting the position of the play head. While it's a quirky idea which could attrac...

Re: Can Reason 10 owner still buy refills or RE's in the store
The minimal version of Reason that is required for an RE to run depends on the SDK version that the RE developer uses. For Reason 10 that's a rather old SDK version, so quite a lot of REs are not compatible with this version of Reason any more.

Re: Announcing Reason 13
Another way of looking at it, working on a house track, you have a nice piano sequence going, then you add a bass, then strings, you've added a 4 on the floor kick drum just for now, you've spread the parts out now (sequenced) the parts for about a 2 miniute track now, you're loving what you have g...

It could be a possibility the the new FX is using some new CPU instructions that older x86 CPUs don't support (like AVX512 or SSE4.2).

Nice, I'm glad that you've got quite a few things going already. I'll still have to see how well the S88-MK2 fares with Reason and possibly optimise its integration as well.

Sadly the MIDI implementation chart from https://help.reasonstudios.com/hc/en-us ... Help-Files does not seem to include the new REs. Contacting support might help in getting them added.
