Re: Reveal Sound Spire...It is coming!
Sorry for my ignorance: I understand that the RE GUI is different from the VST version, is there anyone who knows if the functionality is the same? Will there be any missing features in the VST version?

Very interested in Spire for Reason. Is there anyone that knows exactly what will be missing in the Reason version compared to the original?

Happy Holidays! I can only agree that this is a great forum! I don't spend that much time here now - I actually try to make music instead, but it is always nice to check in here inbetween my music projects.

Re: How much you hate your own music?
I like my own music - if I didn't I would probably stop producing...
That being said, I am always VERY tired of listening to my songs in the end of the production phase. Listening to the same song intensely several hundred times to improve and polish it is not that fun...

Chenille, echobode, khs chorus, synapse chorus are all very good. Trial them out and you will have a hard time to choose between them!

Re: Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
With regards to Magic, it took me best part of a night to get the basics down. Ultimately most things that look/sound good are gonna take at least a little effort, but I'd say this is on the easy side. It's all very visual. You just click and drag from one thing to the next, and because it's all ge...

Re: Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
Maybe screengrab an old Winamp visualization? I don't know how to make a video screen grab. I guess I need special software for that? Will that give me good sound quality of the video? For simplicity, if possible, I'd rather stick with one software that does it all, i.e. generates the entire video ...

Re: Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
Magic Music Visuals! It's not free, but near enough - about $50. It's like Reaktor but for sound reactive visuals. It has 2D and 3D generators, and you can drive parameters of them using audio inputs (or even MIDI if you buy the slightly more expensive Performer edition). And...it can load multiple...

Re: Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
This comes with the cheapest version of FL Studio. 99$ https://youtu.be/Rq6nEih6CGk I've watched people do some really cool things with this in a matter of seconds, and doesn't seem to have too much of a learning curve. Plus you get another DAW. That looks very nice, but I really don't have time to...

Looks interesting, I will check as soon as I get the time!NekujaK wrote:Sonic Candle is free - runs on Windows/Mac/Linux: http://soniccandle.sourceforge.net/
It automatically generates a frequency spectrum visualization based on your music and exports a video file that can be uploaded to YouTube.

Re: Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
This was done in After Effects and Premiere Pro. You might be better off hiring someone to make you a basic waveform video since it takes a long time to learn After Effects. If you know how to handle Waveforms a simple waveform video shouldn't take more than an hour so you can pay some college stud...

Re: Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
On Mac there's Motion which is 49€ and pretty much equivalent to After Effects (motion graphics/multi-layer compositing on a timeline), or even better, Quartz Composer (completely free) which is more real-time and friendly for sound-to-image type of animations. Thanks for your reply, but I use a PC...

Easiest way to make animations for music tracks?
I have a few tracks on SoundCloud that I may put on youtube to reach another audience. I guess I could always just attach a photo to the sound file to make it a "movie" for Youtube, but that would be a little bit boring and static. For those of you who put your music on youtube with cool animations ...

Re: select all gain or faders ?
I still don't get the problem - even if you allow a fader to be controlled via MIDI (i.e. the "active" controller or "most" selected one) and the movement of that particular fader then will be quantized to 127 steps, it would be possible to internally (in the Props code that make up the mixer funct...

Re: select all gain or faders ?
The only way to do fader ganging or multi-select is to map each fader and use a custom script. Even then it isn't intuitive based on shift-click or anything like that. Always felt strange to be able to multi-select channels but not be able to adjust like controls on all of them. Only issue here is ...

The strength of both versions of TSAR is how easy it is to dial in the reverb character you need (in addition to sounding great of course ) !
