Re: A simple experiment I did with Reason
Sometimes I ask myself why I test things like that instead of making music. Maybe because If my music is bad I now can blame the "planck pitches", haha.

Re: A simple experiment I did with Reason
Interesting. You are right, Subtractor sine does make almost like a synthetic hat sound in the higher areas. I find other strange things with other synths with sines. It almost seems that in those high pitches very strange things happen, like the strange behavior of physics in the very first moments...

If this info is correct, it is not possible to exactly achieve it, but closest approximation would be -31 cents.

Re: Antidotes "special" envelopes
Selig, I guess you are right. I tried out CV Mutant which is based on rate and it is a similiar behaviour. I always knew that something is different with Antidotes envelope, because I often design similiar sounds on different synths and Antidote was always the one with the most different results.

Antidotes "special" envelopes
antidote.jpg I was making patches with different synths. When I fiddled around with Antidote and discovered a "strange" behaviour. I expected the decay time to be the time the env goes from the peak to the sustain level which is also defined in the manual that way: "During the decay stage, the enve...

If on sale I might get RE128 Loudness Meter, SPLEX Compressor, PMS-20, Kratos 2, GQ7 and BZR-1. Definitly not all of them.

Re: PX 7 thoughts
I prefer PX7 to Zero, at least in regards to FM. I find it hard with Zero to tune in the right amount of FM, just turn a tiny bit FM in and it is often already too harsh. My only complaint with PX7 is the lack of CV, e.g. for the envelopes or feedback.

Re: Zero Latency Devices / Latency List
I have a question regarding the latency times. Are they absolute? E.g. Blamsoft DC-9: Is it always 3 samples, or can it be different with a different computer, operation system or with sample rate?

Re: (Dub Techno) Aeon Eternal – Greywater
Thank you soooo much for your feedback. It really helps me to grow. Regarding bass, I have a bass line made with a sine at around 65 and another one around 130 with a tiny amount of FM and a litte bit of a very noisy square at 260. The problem was/is that I set the decay time to 0.05 seconds, so it ...

I tried out Futzbox to see how far lo-fi you can go. Could sound more "natural", but it is a fun device.

Re: Sound design help request
I can highly recommend this sound design/synth tutorial app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/syntorial-synthesizer-training/id956861240?mt=8 Even for me with advanced knowledge in sound design it was very helpful, because it trains your ears to hear out parameters of a synth sound. it is a bit price...

Re: Eastern scales
Just be aware, there is a bug. You should not use the Note CV Out of Microtune, because it sends out wrong notes.
So for example if you use Charlotte or Distributor, first split the Note CV Signal with Spider, send one to Microtune and the other one DIRECT to your instrument, in your case the sampler.

Re: So, how many RE's do you actually have?
I have 149 including the free ones. That is a lot considering in the beginning I swore to myself to not buy a single REs. Then I started to buy one or two CV devices. Then I bought ALL the CV devices. I swore to myself that I will not buy synth devices. Same story. First one or two then more and mor...

Re: Zero Hybrid Synthesizer is in the shop!
Thanks for your answer. But what I mean is automating attack time, decay time, release time individually. This seems not to be possible. I found kind of a workararound. It is possible to automate "Amp Envelope Rate". I don't know exactly how it behaves since it is not documented in the manual, but y...

Re: Zero Hybrid Synthesizer is in the shop!
Even though this synth was love at first sight I am missing the possiblity to automate the envelopes. A env CV-in on the back would really help to at least automate it from another device.

Re: Zero Hybrid Synthesizer is in the shop!
Shouldn't there be a depth/level knob for the LFOs? It is really hard to dial in e.g. a proper vibrato because with an amount of 0.10 it is already to much. Or am I missing something?

If you are into sounddesign (and as an addition into LFOs) I recommend the Ammo series.

Re: Blamsoft Zero and Reason CV
As far as I see it is just a pitch modulation. So an LFO with depth 1 (Ammo) changes the pitch about 3 octaves. It is probably not intended for high Hz input, though it can have cool effects. I think it is the same imput as in Radical Piano, at least what I am hearing.

Re: EXP1 Expression Processor is in the shop
Just to give one idea. Gate CV of Matrix to e.g. Subtractor. But instead of Matrix Note CV you use this chain: Take the Ammo (any other LFO ist fine, but I like this because of many waveforms), about 3Hz and 0.5 Depth, the unipolar out into VoltSH-1 (synced to 1/16 rate), this goes into the CV Tuner...
