Re: 500 Soundpacks
I've been trying to focus on stuff that hasn't been done already but, with 500 packs out there, it's hard! Just a quick jump in, Do you have any plans to release an Objekt refill for us non R+ non soundpackers? Instabuy from me if it is a possibility  Sadly not - personally speaking, the r...

Re: 500 Soundpacks
baaa! Adam Fielding totally nailed it with this "Objekt - Nocturnal Landscapes" pack. damn it rocks! thank you Adam. Thanks! Glad you're liking it :) I was just checking out the Italo Disco sound pack and was going to say I had no idea Michael Oakley was doing sound packs now, that's awesome! When ...

Re: Reveal Sound - SPIRE updated to 1.5.15
Hahah! Yeah, the RE is pretty bad by comparison. Has been "feature locked" for 4+ years (last "update" - if you can call it that - was from April 2019). Eh... it was nice that they went through the trouble to even make it an RE, but since Reason got VST support there is literally no reason for them...

Re: The new Instrument, "Objekt" is coming in May
I've got a 30 minute tutorial arriving on release that'll fix that for you and everyone else! :puf_bigsmile: I like to think I managed to get some decent sounds out of Objekt, but my experience with physical modelling synths was pretty darn limited and this video was an excellent primer. Well worth...

Re: Adam Fielding making R+ Sound Packs
Nice to see Adam creating Sound Pack content for Reason+. I always enjoyed his Reason related YouTube videos and was sorry to see him switch to another DAW as his main sequencer Thanks, I'm glad you're liking them! I've been cooking up something pretty nice recently, even if I may say so myself... ...

Re: Output Arcade & Reason+ Bundle
Wow, for those who are subscription-inclined that's a damn good deal! Despite not being a massive fan of subscriptions I've dipped into Arcade for a couple of gigs and it's been SUPER useful. Combined with R+, damn - that's a great deal. What a great combo.

Re: Europa Relay now available on Patreon
I bought Europa Relay via the Reason shop for £20-odd quid several years ago and it was definitely worth it. Some fantastic sound design in there. For £8 (and to get Serum and Massive patches too) well, that's an absolute bargain! I can very much recommend Adam's work :) Thanks! I'm really glad you...

Europa Relay now available on Patreon
Hi folks, Back in 2017 I decided to embark on a little endeavour called Fielding SoundWorks. It was going to be an outlet for me to release a series of soundbanks, each comprised of 150 patches and focused on one synth. I ended up releasing three FSW banks before I stopped - one of these was called ...

Re: Do you think the nowday's Reason is too CPU-heavy?
I've never had issues with Reason maxing out my CPU since I switched to my current PC in 2019, and I'm not exactly conservative with how I work. That said, I do think Reason typically feels less "responsive" or snappy (apologies for the incredibly vague terminology) to use than other DAWs, and I re...

Re: How will you know when you've acquired all the gear you need?
But how's a gear head to know how to evaluate when their motivations or interests are wise or GAS symptomatic? I think it depends on your approach. It's always nice to have new stuff to play around with, and that invites creativity - which is great! However, there's a certain point where I think it...

The world is going crazy with subscriptions. Yeah. I understand that there are plenty of people out there who like subscriptions, but they are absolutely not for me - I'm a "purchase once, use forever" kind of guy. I like to keep my recurring bills to a minimum wherever possible because I don't thi...

Re: (electronic rock/dreampop) Can You See
Fantastically produced, gives me real A Perfect Circle vibes. I feel like a lot of folks dealt with a lot of heavy stuff during the pandemic, especially at the beginning, and it's led to some great art, even if the circumstances leading to it weren't so great. As for a song that's been in progress ...

(electronic rock/dreampop) Can You See
I started writing this tune during the height of the COVID pandemic in 2020, and only recently got around to finishing it. Re: Tracker beats
Pretty good that. Good ol'Amen Break. It just needs some real deep bass-ness on it (unless there was and I couldn't hear it on my phone as I did see Sub Bass in the sound list there) and a couple of vocal samples, maybe 3. Will have a listen through headphones tomorrow. What tracker software is tha...

There are plenty of things I'd like to see fixed in Reason, but I fail to see how that relates to shining a light on up and coming talent. I think this is a neat idea and I'd like to see more of it.scotward57 wrote: ↑05 Apr 2022YOU SEE!! It is not Reason who is broken...it is YOU!! You are the one who is broken!!

Re: Scenic!!!
Scenic is, imo, the worst instrument RS have ever put their name to by quite a considerable margin. I don't know if it was developed in house or by a third party (though I strongly suspect the latter), but it seems bananas to me that the same folks who made Europa and Grain shortly beforehand would ...

Lol! Yeah, Apple users can be a bit cultish (I still have 3 iPads, 2 Apple TV 4K, and 3 iPhones). Have long since switched all computers to PC’s, though. I’ll stick with my iPhones - the alternative is Android, and I have fundamental issue with “being a product” for an advertising company just to u...

Re: ssd and reason
All of internal storage is SSDs, I've never had any issues with it and I would never go back to internal mechanical storage. External storage - that's another matter entirely, for backups and archiving I'm more interested in capacity over read/write times and noise so hard drives work just fine.

Re: What are your top five devices at the moment?
Reason / Rack Extensions: - Thor (still my favourite workhorse synth in Reason, Europa is close but if I had to pick... Thor all the way) - VK-2 (super quick to dial in a sound that just sounds right, love the character of the filter & drive) - DR-1 (there's just something about it!) - Vermillion / ...
