Can you sing ?
Actually, being Aussie, you might like his one better - its a cover of 'Great Southern Land' but the lyrics are a bit different....

Re: (light Prog Rock) - "Eye In The Sky" cover
I liked it - I was an Alan Parsons fan in the early days, especially I Robot. I think it could be improved with rock drums. in fact this inspires me to do a cover of I Robot which is instrumental. Here's a cover I made of Mr Mister 'Broken Wings' on Reason, but without substituting a lead synth for ...

Re: A great way to trial REs TWICE!!
Maybe my way could be a compromise. 30 days trial but over 2 trial periods. That way, you could try out for 10 days, delete it but allowed to use the 20 day balance on another trial months later when the device may have had an upgrade. After a year the balance then expires anyway.

Re: A great way to trial REs TWICE!!
If you start trailing an RE on 1/JUN and delete it on 10/JUN, can you re-trial it in July with 20 days left, or does it expire anyway on 30/JUN ?
I think a single 30 days is generous - especially given no many other platforms allow trials much or as conveniently.

Re: Reason sound makes me following the sound
I am mixing in Reason, mastering in Scope XITE-1D at 96khz, and the sound is awesome, way better than Scope mixing or Reason mixing alone, the combination of the SSL and XITE-1D is magical.
I have ditched Cubase 8 Pro now.

Re: Common Mixing Mistakes and How to Avoid Them
Graham Cochrane has some great tips on mixing http://therecordingrevolution.com/ And free references http://therecordingrevolution.com/free-tools/ This is the guy that will tell you why you should mix in mono. Or the benefits of mixing at low volume. And all you need is on your channels are simple v...

Re: Auto mix channel for existing instrument
Ok I didnt know about 'Auto Route' doh ! This is really going to save so much time, thanks heaps ! It won't autoroute all instruments in a combinator, but you can uncombine, autoroute then combine them all again. Absolutely brilliant ! I have unrouted NNXT like I said I have stored multiple NNXT in ...

Auto mix channel for existing instrument
It's great the way you can drag and drop an instrument from browser to rack and Reason automatically creates a mix channel and connects the instrument to that new mix channel. But what about for existing instruments ? I have orchestral combinators with no 14:2 mixer included and it would be great to...

Re: SSL mixer hide child channels
Yes , I've used the various workarounds, but good to know this is on the props request list. Prior to the SSL I built some combinators using the 14:2 with 14 NNXT string or brass to build up orchestral sections. But since the SSL I've been removing the 14:2 and routing the NNXT's to individual SSL c...

SSL mixer hide child channels
When building a large mix it would be handy to hide channels that have been grouped to a subgroup fader.
This could be a button that hides all sub channels globally, or a button on each group channel to hide sub channels belonging to that group.

Rob Papen next RE release request - a port this time, hear me out (pls).
It's a great idea but the issue is overlap with the A-lists, of which I have both. So I would have to trial it first to see what functionality it brings that isn't already covered. Actually I was thinking of an RE version of Shreddage geared towards lead guitar might be the go. I already have the Re...

Anyone using the McDSP EQ's?
I'm using the McDSP C670 and E670 for lead vocals and now also for guitars. Excellant - before discovering these two I was trialing the TubeTech but due to expense I chose the McDSP's and they do just as good a job and are simpler / quicker. For vocals on the E670 I set the High Freq hard anti-cloc...

Last day of 40% off FM4 Sale - Who bought it and who is passing?
I passed. Because I have PX7 but also because it' did not seem to have the presets from the original 4OP in Yamahas SFG05 module which came with the CX5 computer. These sounds are more unique than the ones from the DX9 which seemed to be cut down versions of the factory DX7 presets. https://s3.amaz...

What kinds of Rack Extensions would you like to see more of?
More classic emulations of channel strips and 80's synths. More classic gear but cheaper than the TubeTech. And more orchestral romplers like SAM but with nice loops. And a drum kit RE like ToonTracks so you can right click on a cymbal and change it from a Zilgian to a Fabian, then click a button an...

Rebirth RE?
IIRC Reason can already host Rebirth such that they are tempo locked (Reason's Rebirth Input Machine) However, what would be really usefull feature to have in a Rebirth RE would be the ability to import Rebirth songs such that Reason sequencer tracks are built from the imported song - much the same ...

Well I am about to rework the overture, so I will certainly see if I can weave in some more Orkester there. Good tip.

60 track 11 minute opus - mixed using the SSL to its fullest
Well looks like I underestimated Orkester - I built a combinator with 16 string samples from varying libraries, figuring that would add variety and reduce phase issues when doubling up samples. Your arrangement is more orchestral in detail, whereas I'm just using broad brush stroke hooking up a sing...

60 track 11 minute opus - mixed using the SSL to its fullest
Hi Benedict, Thanks for your interest. At the moment this is a long term solo project. However I am also working on it as a potential stage show. In the past the project has had a few collaborators and critics, and it was noted that its kinda hard to get the plot just from listening to the songs...

60 track 11 minute opus - mixed using the SSL to its fullest
This was mixed in the Reason SSL with a track count of 60 at 96Khz - CPU meter running at 50%.
Half of the tracks were samplers / RE's and the other half audio (vocal / Guitar)
The solo synth at the end is the only outboard instrument

Request to any RE developer for a jpg display plate
Sounds like a great idea to me. I'm sure jpg import would take less effort than sample import. The code is already there for combinator skins, all we really need is a combinator without the knobs and controls poking thru the skin ! In fact, thats all it would take - a controlless skinable combinato...

The "REs are overpriced" thread ;)
Ill tell you why Softube Tube-Tech is overpriced (and Im a Softube fan having buyed their Marshall ad mesa-Boogie amps on Scope). I agonised after the one month demo as to wether to buy it, I liked the sound on vocals. but $349 ? It was lineball. Then I discovered C670 and E670 by McDSP - Heav...
