Re: Finally, an end to the VST debate?
As a person with over 300 VSTs, none of which are crack versions, I do not understand the fallacy that associates VSTs with regular DAW crashes. Maybe 10 years ago, I would agree with VST instabilities, but not in 2016. I honestly rarely experience a DAW crash and, when they do occur, it is usually ...

Re: How many Reasonusers worldwide?
I would prefer to know the number of active number of Reason users, but that would be difficult to gather. Based on my own personal sample of Reason users, which means nothings in regards to the entire Reason population, I do believe that Props has lost a lot of customers over the past few years. I ...

Re: Eq in Reason
Below are responses to several questions to a post I made a few days ago. I dont own Studio One, but what makes this EQ so great that it is a must have? I did not stated nor do I believe that the ProEQ, in Studio One, is great or a "must have" EQ :) . With that said, the ProEQ is a fairly practical ...

Re: Eq in Reason
Thanks for the answers. Yeah I will probably have to use the insert effect then. Its still totally not understandable why a great program like reason does not have a flexible and nice eq on every track like the other 'big' sequencer programs has.. Anyway Thanks ;) To my knowledge, most DAWs offer s...

Re: if Reason 9 only changed one thing...
There is not a single change, in itself, that would encourage me to purchase a Reason 9 upgrade. In my opinion, Reason 9 needs to make significant strides forward towards being on par with other DAWs, in terms of features and "in-the-box" devices, or else there is no purpose to continue further inve...

Re: If Reason bundled an existing RE synth with 9, which would it be?
I prefer a new synth, due to the fact that I already own the Props RE instruments that captured my interest.
If not a new synth, an updated NN-XT that excepts Kontakt, EXS and Sfz formats or a rompler on par with Sampletank and Nexus.

Re: Who will upgrade to Reason 9 the day it's released and what new features do you think will be included?
So this is pointless to keep original tracks AND "freezed" in one project. How do you want save CPU then? This is ridiculous. Go back and read what I've been saying: if you turn off the original tracks properly, and not just hit "mute" on the mixer, you ought to be able to cut CPU by virtue of the ...

Re: Rack Extensions Sync not happy with AdBlock Plus
I use Adblock Plus and have zero sync issues with REs. Yesterday, I synced all of my available RE updates, which I have not performed in several months, and no errors occurred. All of my REs, which total over a 100, are available in Reason 7.

Re: What external DAW do you use and for what purpose?
I use Studio One 3 Professional as my main go-to DAW, as well as Digital Performer 9 and Samplitude Pro X2 for a few collaborations efforts. I also own licenses to Bitwig Studio, Akai MPC Software (in conjunction w/ a MPC Renaissance) and Reason 7, but all three of them are rarely used, at this time.

Re: You think Softube will bring these to the rack??
I have all of the Softube products mentioned in the OP's post in VST format. The one I would like to see released most in RE format is the Summit Audio Grand Channel. It is my favorite VST channel strip and is also very CPU efficient. Without delay compensation in Reason, the Fix Flanger might prese...

Re: Your mastering setup
I do not master songs in Reason, due to the fact that Studio One's Project environment is better suited for the task. However, I did create a mastering template, in Reason, that is similar to the processing chain I have available in Studio One. The said Reason mastering template includes following i...

Re: Softube Drawmer S73 Intelligent Master Processor - anyone want an RE?
I am unsure whether I would purchase it, in RE format, at this time. Nevertheless, I would definitely like to see the Drawmer, as well as all of Softube's products, converted to RE format in order to increase the available mastering tool options in the store. I did pre-order the VST version for $55 ...

All of them would be nice, but I would settle for all of the VSTs available by the following companies: Arturia, IK Multimedia, u-he, PSP Audioware, Fabfilter, Tone2, Rob Papen, Native Instruments, XLN Audio, Fxpansion, LinPlug, Slate, Softube, D16, Scuffham Amps, 2caudio, AIR, Audio Damage, Gforce,...

Re: Reason really slows my workflow? I think this ship has finally sailed
i just like reason because of its simulation of analogue equipment. This is one of the main things that still garners some interest in Reason for me. Although I have moved on from Reason, as my main production tool, the only thing I miss is the rack concept when working in other DAWs. In regards to...

Re: Sure would be nice if the Kong Drum designer had chromatic scale
As a long time MPC fan and user, it is definitely a feature that would be a nice addition, in my opinion. But, as stated, the NN-XT, as well as the NN-19, are available to perform that the same task, when needed.
Another feature I would welcome, in regards to Kong, is 8 more stereo outputs.
