Re: Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
As I understand it, any audio that is simply razor'ed will create this glitch, right? But I cannot recreate it on my end. Can you re-create the effect in a simple song file? For example, if you record one guitar chord that rings out, and razor the clip into two at some mid point, do you hear a glit...

Re: Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
There is still one artefact left on it, but I didn't want to mess with it too much:

Re: Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
Updates: I was able to remove the first crackle/artefact by creating a second Audio Track and moving the Razor Sliced track to the same position, with the same settings, onto the second Track. The second crackle/artefact was actually within the guitar audio, which I eventually isolated with Audacity...

Re: Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
I tried a short gap (0.0.0.6) between clips - it still has a crackle between them.

Re: Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
In the clip provided from my Google Drive - if you play it loud enough - you can hear 2 crackles: The first one occurs just after the Razor Clip split - ("...in your eyes... : crackle :") The second one ("...see the thorn : crackle : twist in your side...") is where I had already applied a Razor Cl...

Removing audible crackle when using the Razor Tool to Split audio clips?
I've spent a while looking for this exact scenario on the forum - some are close, but not the same. Every time I use the Razor Tool to split a part of my Audio Track, there is a crackle in the play back, between the resulting 2 Clips. Even if I have done nothing with the 2 audio parts - I haven't mo...

Settings for Bluetooth Headset/Microphone?
Hello! I have been using Reason 8 for more years than I care to remember - but I have never been able to get any microphone working with this DAW. I have followed many YouTube tutorials but my software steadfastly refuses to provide me with any option to add in a microphone in the Track element. Rea...

Re: Monetising Music 101
OK - I grant that 16-bit still has a quality range but the depth and resonance and other artifacts which may be introduced means it is not as high quality as <24-bit>. It depends on a lot of factors - including the quality of the original composition and the eventual output method (speakers, headph...

You forgot Allihoopa: 1. Create a unique piece of music (no samples!) 2. Upload to Allihoopa. 3. Allow an established artist signed to major label to use your music for free and without giving credit. 4. Get legal representation and try to sue them, despite having signed away all your rights. 5. We...

My apologies - I have edited the graphic and re-uploaded it. Thanks! and 16 bit is no lo-fi. that's a perfect export format. CD norm. Re: Monetising Music 101
I pay to make music, so I guess this chart doesn't really apply to me, but is the usage of samples really such a no no? Assuming no copyright is infringed? I have found that many commercial uses (licensing, etc.) require full originality. It's simplicity over substance - if a client likes what they...

Monetising Music 101
Hey everyone,
I'm not a frequent poster but I have noticed that there are many, many more music makers out there, than there ever was. I created the attached graphic as a "101" for monetising homegrown music. I hope at least someone will find it helpful or useful!

Re: Reason and Allihoopa...
Thanks for all the comments and insights - I really appreciate it. I understand now how Reason "evolved" alongside other Propellerhead products. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I believe that Reason, as a PC/Mac App still has way more versatility, features and functions that those of it's iOS/Android br...

Reason and Allihoopa...
Hey everyone - not sure how active this forum is, but wanted to try to start a discussion.... I've been in contact with the website owners for Allihoopa - it was made very clear to me that their site is not for professionals. The remit of Allihoopa is in the spirit of social media - sharing, collabo...

(Slow Jazz) Beyond Reason
I know I don't frequent the forum all that much - but felt this was worth sharing, for comments and feedback. It's a jazzy, floating track with guitar and piano using only the standard elements from Reason 8.2 (no RE's): https://soundcloud.com/simply_adam/beyond-reason I've created a couple of deriv...

Reason 8.x: Vocals & Vocoder > Note to Voice
Not sure if this is any use for anyone else but, through trial and error, I put together a vocoder/vox/"note to voice" stack which you might want to try, built from the basic elements of Reason 8.x:
Unless anyone has a "simpler" remedy for the same..?
