I have this and really like it, but I use it just as a straight colouring effect (so far). I love putting Kicks through it with the saturation up a bit. Really rounds out the sound and pumps it up imo.

I use the Ozone Mastering Assistant to get the ball rolling on every track. It give you a great starting point I think.

Yeah Reason doesn't have any sort of automatic save function, so you've gotta keep remembering to mash CTRL S. I've had some sessions just go *pooof* out of existence without even an error notification or report after dropping a VST in the rack. Not fun.

Yeah if you notice, that's how the hardware is designed (numbered buttons below numbers, and a mix of buttons with LEDs etc ... perhaps a case of being too close to the real thing doesn't translate into software?

I think I remember Ekss saying one of the reasons his 6-ch mixer (which is great btw), only supports mono channels was he was limited to 8 inputs on the device and wanted to also add a stereo return channel. Was that just a GE restriction or something?

To keep it on the basic (and therefore cheaper) side these are fantastic audio interfaces. I use the free Kilohearts limiter RE, and Ozone 9 - I have IK's stuff but never got an better results than Ozone, so I stick with that. I use the Kilohearts one more as a "working" limiter while I'm still creating, and switch to Ozone when it's time to max the buffer and go to town.
