Re: VST Copy Pattern to Track
Damn, i knew it sounds wrong. :) And it wasn't rude at all. Always happy to improve my english. Deutsch ist schwer, aber Ich spreche es manchmal nicht so schlecht ( ;) )denn Ich lerne jetzt für zehn oder zwölf wochen.  Pretty good  I totally meant to say vielleicht instead of...

Re: VST Copy Pattern to Track
I don't think the paid RE is required, unless I misunderstood. Oh, you're right. There's no RE required. Stupid me  :puf_bigsmile: Thanks for pointing me out to this. No problem. Also 'Thanks for pointing this out to me' sounds better  Sorry if that's rude, it's a habit. Dating a s...

Re: VST Copy Pattern to Track
The only solution, I can recall is this http://roboticbean.com/creative/2016/05/20/sending-notes-to-track-in-reason-9/#more-322 There's a paid RE required though. I don't think the paid RE is required, unless I misunderstood. I think this is just an example RE which can be used with the combinator ...

Re: VST Copy Pattern to Track
There is definitely no direct way to do it as this feature hasn't even been added to Rack Extensions yet. There is a workaround that people have mentioned before for Rack Extensions which involves players and combinators. See if you can find this, it has been mentioned on the forum before or maybe s...

Re: SDK wishlist
At this point, the SDK needs to have all the features of VST. That was basically my answer to the Props the last time they asked developers what features we needed! ;) Sent from some crappy device using Tapatalk All features of VST AND some! We're well on the way I think. Over half way perhaps. Rea...

Re: Switchable panels
I am also not a developer, but would consider asking someone to help me create something if I knew where to look, doubt you can just join a developer forum that easily.
Thanks for the help anyway, I understand people wouldn't want to go into too much depth on here.

Re: Switchable panels
Guess its a closed forum here on RT. But IMO it is possible, as i seen all asked features in other RE, but for a switchable oscillator the dev needs to implement a switchable oscillator, thats all. Maybe except the "lock" feature everything should be possible. Thanks, sounds great. However, unfortu...

Okay, I'll look into that. Where can I find the developer forum? Is it the old reason forum?

Switchable panels
Does anyone know the limitations of the switchable panels which were introduced in SDK 2.5? For example -Can you make small panels, such as those which change the Thor oscillators? -Can they use a drop down selector like in Thor oscs? (Or even is this a must when panels are smaller?) -Is there a lim...

Re: SDK wishlist
At this point, the SDK needs to have all the features of VST. And that will take Propellerhead 10 years to accomplish. It's been over a month since 9.5 was released. I think it's pretty apparent to everyone that at the moment, REs are dead. I like to think of it as REs are PS3 games, and Reason 9.5...

Re: MIDI latency
I have a similar issue using the Roland Boutiques and Korg Volcas. Thought it was just my setup! Negative slide in ReGroove works okay on playback *but* if you play on cycle, the first note trips up on itself or goes missing. The other option is to offset all other tracks, but that's long. The othe...

Re: MIDI latency
Have a similar amount but one of my synths has about 20ms of extra latency on the input! It's quite old but sounds too good. You mean the Matrix 1000? I got one of those, the latency is pretty ridiculous, which is why I only use it on pads  Yeah, Matrix 1000 hahah. It's epic though I love it! ;)

Silent Way
Can someone confirm if this works as expected? I don't have Reason 9 yet but might upgrade for this. The Silent Way RE doesn't work with the expanders, so may have to get this, it would save me having Live open. I wouldn't usually ask if a specific VST works but as it's not really an instrument I'm ...

Re: MIDI latency
thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately I love my Oberheim too much and could never do that, hehe. But now that I think of it this would be perfect for me for when I'm working away from home. I think I'm going to get the ESX-8MD expansion for my ES-3. This way at least after I get my MIDI in sync i...

Yes I have the above delay and it works fine
I just know that at some point I'll change my audio settings and will have to change my latency again.

Re: SDK wishlist
1. Player type REs for sure. 2. Perhaps not really relevant but I really really would love some sort of editable MIDI device (which could potentially be a player I guess). Would like this more than anything else in Reason. Basically drag and drop knobs etc and choose what they do MIDI-wise. It doesn...

Re: I've given up waiting for the fix for mac and have bought a PC.
I also get the odd crack and pop on my Mac, which is pretty annoying it's a 2014 macbook pro retina 15". pretty powerful. Even if I've not got anything loaded bar one synth, from time to time it will crack and pop. :\ not cool! I've heard people say that the Mac version is less efficient than the PC...

Re: MIDI latency
Sometimes I wonder though if anyone else has these type of issues as I see little discussion about it. Surely many people try to simultaneously play stuff within Reason and external gear and experience issues, maybe everyone just figured out to delay the Audio and move on! Or maybe my setup is a bit...

Re: MIDI latency
The sync setting in preferences does this. I'm not sure if it does. Is this not just for midi sync signals, i.e. clocks? What I'm talking about is different. I agree though, I need more MIDI features in Reason. To be honest though I kind of wish MIDI was never invented, I hate it. There are t...

Re: MIDI latency
I'm currently only Reason 8. Maybe I need to get myself an upgrade. Plus, I'm pretty sure Note Echo (although I've never used it) won't have a MINUS note delay. Obviously it needs to be sent early as is mostly the case with external MIDI gear. When playing live a negative delay is impossible by law...
