I went ahead and bought a P4 myself - got it as a nice discount too $415 instead of $500.

I'd have gotten the P1, but I really wanted the full Panorama capabilities with the motorized fader and the pads.

Plus, my current midi keyboard has some broken keys so I just went with a P4.

From what I've heard you are correct. I think they still need to take the time to map the new popular REs. If they don't, the OP has a point.

My template is roughly the same, but I use only 1 kong, plus a big processing chain for the kong. Propulsion is awesome. I do wish there were a 'notes to track' function to further mix up the groove, but I know that is an SDK limitation.

Ok. Relapse is clearly more my cup of tea than 3Plex. It has a pretty big range of effects it can produce from subtle to insane. Air Raid Audio makes some fantastic stuff.

Propellerhead should make your devices looks worn the fuck out based on your usage of each device in terms of time of use and account age. Then you can pay a fee to have the faceplates refurbished. I just tested out the AT-1 demo and I will be buying this thing hands down. WOW, it is really just as good as the MP5. I can take a Reason stock synth and slap an AT-1 on it, play with the settings to get my desired effect and BAM that synth is fatness!

I have the SPLEX and frankly I think it sounds great. Each different setting can offer some kind of subtle character or can be completely transparent. Thats the only multi band splitter I have needed, aside form the 4Dyne for mastering, which is excellent.

So I demo'ed the 3Plex a ways back and thought it was a very neat device, but I did not feel compelled to buy it. More recently, I've checked out some forum posts and Youtube videos pertaining to the features on the device, and I'm reconsidering buying it at full price - for the kind of music I like...

It looks and sounds great. In all fairness, though, the reason that this huge library of samples is on such an insane sale is because many of the new RE's can accomplish the same sounds, perhaps even better.
