New Roland Groove Box MC707
This thing looks pretty great, glad to see Roland back in the groovebox game. My Digitakt is feeling a little afraid. They also have a budget version called the MC101.

Re: Thinking going into modular (thoughts)
Every time I've considered going modular, I open up my copy of VCV Rack and painstakingly put together a patch from scratch. Every time I have to add a device I add $100 to the cost of this patch. This alone stays the modular GAS for me.

Re: Poll: If Reason Didn't Exist, What DAW Would You Use?
Reason was introduced to me by a buddy way back in the Reason 3 days. At the time I was cranking out beats in Impulse Tracker. Had Reason never existed I'd likely have migrated to Renoise eventually.

I gleefully signed up for the beta to do just this and then realized no VST3 Hopefully they put it in soon.

Re: Announcing Reason 11
I just don't understand their vision in this update. Who were they trying to make this update for?? The delusional notion that it will make new users spend $400 for the DAW just to use these incredible Re's (which cost extra) in their current DAW as a plugin is just crazy to me. Its not for new use...

Re: Can PH make Reason 10 users happy again - tiered pricing idea!
Nah, I think its fine the way it is. It's also pretty generous if you think about it. The Rack VST is pretty effin huge, something that tons of people wanted. I'm almost thinking it would be cool to have the option in Reason itself to have the Rack operate as a separate VST per track, where only the...

Re: What new feature(s) are you most excited about with Reason 11?
The SSL sections as rack devices is kind of enticing as it sort of harkens back to the old days when you'd have to toss an EQ on the device instead of having it all happen in the mixer, but using them comes with the cost of losing the precision of the spectrum. Options I definitely wouldn't have tho...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
One advantage of developing RE now is that it's instantly multiplatform in all DAWs as long as you buy Reason. They should make a very thin VST version of Reason only hosting a single RE with near-zero overhead. Give that for free, and people will swarm to Rack Extensions. They get their own unifie...

I'll not record another note until I get track folders. Are you with me brothers and sisters... Re: Time to get back to it
Agreed. I wasted the past couple days reading through everything about the release. I've come out of this with the opinion that if I spend anymore money in the store it will be for this upgrade so I can take everything I've bought and move on to another DAW. Its clear to me that the UI updates I was...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
Regarding the list of improvements since Reason 8, I'd say an upgrade for users of anything less than 10 will see huge value in this upgrade and even the suite is a wicked deal if you don't have any of those instruments. But for people like me on 10.4 this update is a pretty easy pass. It will be in...

Re: Announcing Reason 11
I've skimmed through all 18 pages of this thread after seeing the announcement and I see this update as a "come back home" call to former users who abandoned Reason versions ago for better workflow through other software, as well as those who've been relying on Rewire all these years. I share the sa...

Re: So, are you getting Reason 11 Standard, Suite or not upgrading?
This update seems like a "come back home" update to all the users that got fed up with UI and sequencer shortcomings and went for another DAW. For me who's stuck with Reason as my primary DAW I don't think there's all that much in there to make me take the plunge yet. I'll be holding off in hopes of...

Re: What do you think will be new in Reason 11?
Goddam Momo! Anyways, I personally think there's going to be a lot of workflow updates as others have said. Not sure if the GUI will get an overhaul, but I think it would be wise of them to consider it and it will definitely have an impact on whether I plan to upgrade or not. Possibly some Browser u...

I really like Renoise's MIDI instrument control, makes Reason's EMI look like a joke.

Looks like they've added a visual browser and polyphonic CV among other awesome stuff! Haven't touched this awesome piece of software in a while but I think I'm gonna give it a go and sequence it with my Digitakt for the next little bit.

Re: Poll: What would you like to see Props focus on going forward?
No High-Res GUI in Reason 11 means that i'm going to skip that version... I will simply not update. Because it's about time. Yep this is me as well. My vote was Hi Res and Sequencer Workflow, but I'm hoping part of the high res is device updates as well which would have been my third had that been ...

Re: Propellerheads PolyStep Sequencer
I don't want Reason to fully change, and I certainly wouldn't want it to look like that Butch Vig Vocals interface. Jesus.... But I'm hoping for some sort of scaling, it's kinda shitty having all this resolution and having to bump Windows up to 150% just to see stuff in the rack. This stuff shouldn'...

Re: Propellerheads PolyStep Sequencer
Same as it ever was to a fault, with UI and workflow from 2004 in 2019. You're applauding that? Ok then..... Other DAWs evolve . Reason tacks on some playschool toys to make it 'easier' for newbs to write their next big hit (right...). If they'd actually bothered to update, expand and improve on th...

Anyone else having problems with their Nektar Panoramas?
I've noticed as Reason as received more updates that my Panorama P6 doesn't always respond as it should. For example, in the Transport section sometimes the Record button works and sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes click works, etc. Anyone else noticed their Panorama going fucky? I find myself just us...

As if I didnt already have enough devices! Like antic604 said earlier it would be nice if we had a way to hide REs and stock devices. The endless amount of browser scrolling gets a little much.
