I too would really like to have a simple tuner RE for finding sample root notes quickly and efficiently, as well as drums. Just something I can insert in a signal chain that will give me basic tuner functions. Any of our resident developers down for making a quick little utility like this?

I've always meant to ask this question so I may as well ask it here. I'm trying out both the FM4 and the RYM2612, and as someone who already has the PX7 what advantages can either of these four operator fm synths offer that the PX7 can't cover?

Holy. Shit. Just thought I'd say I finally got around to messing with Reaper and got my P6 up and running with it. Its absolutely glorious. The VST control is great, alongside the rest of the DAW!

The answer is definitely in a combinator. You'll want an NNXT in there with maybe 5-10 radio static samples assigned to the same keyrange, set for "alt" (so they randomly alternate). Set this static to have its own output into a line mixer. Now set up another range of samples with whatever you want ...

Thought I'd share my reason for using other DAWs. I use Renoise as well cause when I started making computer based music I was using Scream Tracker and then Impulse Tracker before getting into Reason. Those of you that have worked with trackers can probably appreciate the speed that kind of workflow...

Loopback methods are definitely the answer to the question. I run the Arturia stuff standalone but controlled by Reason EMIs and received by audio tracks and it works great!
