Re: Proton Sample question
Instead of recording it first as you usually record in Reason, you could record it directly into Proton. Just push the button on Proton that looks like a waveform next to the sample browse button to start the recording. Only problem with recording directly into proton is as you can't treat the voic...

Re: VPS Avenger has been updated to 1.2.0 - granular synthesis!
Every time I upgrade an os, I get new problems and loose half of my best tools. Too many things are working right to even come close to being tempted to play OS upgrade roulette.

Re: Propellerhead introduces Layers synth.
To all these die hard underground sound designers crying about lack of tweakability and connectivity, etc. .. you need to realize that Propellerheads can't just cater to YOU only. See, that's where you just don't get it. In the instance you are describing propellerheads are doing the exact opposite...

I use it often because it's QUICKmark999 wrote:I'm just interested if anyone is still using the old PEQ-2 in the reason rack?
When do you use it? And what can the PEQ-2 do that the MClass EQ can't?

Re: How common is this frustration?
The expectation that a song will come from every attempt is unrealistic. In sessions where I don't get a track out of it, I dive as far into the sound design as I can... Buried deep down in the knobs, at the bottom of the Patch Cord Mod Matrix Sea

Re: How often is it appropriate to mix in mono?
The point is, you want your music to sound great in every possible scenario. If a label was going to choose between your music that was mixed beautifully and stereo but sounded terrible on mono, and another artist who was producing music that sounded great and stereo and great in mono, they're going...

Re: How often is it appropriate to mix in mono?
If you don't check to see how it sounds in mono, and some game developer decides they want to stick your music and their son, and then when it's played on some Android device with a mono speaker on it and it has horrible phasing problems your music is going to sound terrible. Re: Propellerhead introduces Layers synth.
Eh, no innovation. Propellerhead has completely stopped trying to innovative, and are now ONLY playing it OVERLY SAFE. Probably since they were "bought out" (took money from investors) ? When the create new devices now, instead of making theirs "got to eleven", they only got to 4. It's like they're...

In the VST plugins manager window it shows that it couldn't load the plugin. The demo has probably expired by now.

Way better zoom/home tools
New zoom tools. The zooming system in the timeline in reason feels so clunky it's ridiculous. I've always hated it. I don't know if any of you have ever used the audio editor by a company called bias that was called Peak. Bias Peak had the fastest most efficient method of navigating around through a...

Sample level editor.
In the past when using an audio editor, I have been able to save vocal takes during a recording session that just had a handful of clipping spots in them. A vocal track that otherwise would have been garbage, I was able to fix by going in and drawing peaks where the clipping had occurred. In reason ...

Reason can mix the tracks... why the heck would you use ableton to do it? Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk OK that's good to hear, I have to look into that. I have Chambre from Softphonics and love the instruments but I'm having trouble with the bass. The attack seems off or I'm just new to using a DAW and don't know how to tweak it yet.
