Re: Announcing Reason 13
No wanna AI. I wanna have fun myself. That is why I bought Reason to begin with. It is FUN and I get to enjoy it. If you insist in having AI in the DAW, at least give me the option whether to have it installed or not. So having a friend playing backing tracks is better, why? Is this an AI generated...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
And let's not forget that we still don't know what the sequencer update includes. They call the sequencer update hefty, so I guess there are still some nice features to be revealed. Although I appreciate the positivity. If there's one thing I've learned while following the Reason updates year after...

Re: Ekssperimental Sounds: TAPEFUNK M10 RE released
So I only have a couple days demo left, and last night I spent a couple hours comparing tape funk to all my VST tape emulations. I however used Pro Tools and Tapefunk via Reason rack plugin (worked just fine), and I pit it against Steinberg vintage open deck (via blue cat patchwork as only vst3), B...

Re: Ekssperimental Sounds: TAPEFUNK M10 RE released
Sounds like a great update for this device! Kinda sad now that I didn't pick it up during the sale  The update is now available in the shop, and for those who missed it on the spring break sale there is an update offer (save 33%) just this week! https://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack-extensi...

Re: Almost all my songs are audibly clipping, what am I missing?
A couple more questions if anyone has time to answer: - What are some strategies to eliminate clipping that stems from frequency buildup? I believe that's what's happening in my song. I like the way my song sounds but I think certain high-mid frequencies are heavily adding up when certain plucks pl...

Re: You Move Me (Indie Pop)
Overall, the song sounds really good. It definitely has an easy listening sound. Maybe the music would be Hall and Oats sounding? Not the voice, but the music. The song has an easily memorable and repeatable melody and the song develops very logically and nicely. The vocals sound really good. It so...

I'm glad to hear that this seems to be another slam dunk by Chris!
It makes me excited to see what the "product under development" is, that he refers to in the description of this device

Re: You Move Me (Indie Pop)
really nice! the backing vocals are great and gave me slightly chiller MGMT vibes. love the vocals, guitars, and arrangement. the key change sounds very slightly unnatural to me, for some reason—almost as if the instruments were pitched in the DAW after the fact as opposed to playing through the ch...

Re: You Move Me (Indie Pop)
Very mellow, in a Belle & Sebastian, Air, French (or at least European) pop sort of way. I have to admit that, at the point at which the main vocal begins, I was wondering whether a laidback rap would come in – something like Rockers Hi-Fi. Is this all made with Reason? Very interesting to hear tha...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices
I would call myself an RE exclusive user (avoiding VSTs except for a few essentials) and I wouldn't mind if the crossgrades disappeared. If I started using a different DAW then I wouldn't mind using the RRP for my REs

Re: What are your plans RE-wise for Black Friday?
I'm fighting hard with myself right now, would I buy or buy not J. Griffins S73 Electric Piano….. Looks sexy. I like aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. If I was into electric pianos and this one sounds as good as it looks, it'd be an easy buy for me. Have you demoed it? Then again, Objekt has ...

I have no idea if this change is related to the black friday sale but I was FINALLY able to update to Parsec 2 for FREE!! I knew this day would come eventually All paid RE upgrades in the shop were made free around the release of Reason 12.7  (Devs were given heads up in advance, of cour...

Re: Change tempo keyboard shortcut RANT
Another minimal development cost for big user gains. And glad to learn this as I was just about to switch to an extended keyboard! Having a numpad improves your Reason experience significantly IMO. Just look at this beauty: https://i.imgur.com/ASFTzPA.png Once I have the structure going for a proje...

Change tempo keyboard shortcut RANT
This has finally pissed me off enough that I want to bring it up publicly because I haven't seen anyone else complained about it. The numpad is filled with useful keyboard shortcuts that I use all the time while working in Reason (especially when recording), but why in the world does change tempo up...

Re: Reason 12 Sounds VERY different
By the way......WTF is with the forced Combis inside the mix track insert windows!!!! I hate this. Real bad. I have found I can Uncombine them all on an older project and resave to be rid of them....but WTF ?!?! Yeah that's unfortunately a byproduct from the mix channel change. As you probably reme...

Re: Trouble with Hardware Effects in Reason
I'm sure there are people here who could help you with this but as with all troubleshooting you really need to give some more specific information about how you're doing things now. Since you're only mentioning hardware effects I'm assuming that you're sending audio from Reason through them and then...

Re: Is it really necessary to buy a midi controller?
Interesting to see how how differently we all create. Personally, if I could never use keys/guitar or any other physical instrument again for writing music and only got to draw midi notes then I would probably stop altogether. The playing is where I can grab a specific feeling inside me and pull it ...

Re: unwanted thumps and thuds in exported songs
only thing that could cause "echo" might be RV7000 used as send effect on the master bus How did you set this up? Since you can't send the master itself to a traditional send (because that is where they are summed up) this would require manual routing using a mixer or something? Or do you just mean...

Re: Sequencer updates on the horizon
I'm also hopeful but very skeptical.
Any quality of life updates which make working on full productions in Reason easier are highly appreciated, but my feeling is that they prioritize quite heavily the stuff that also benefits the Reason Rack Plugin.
