And now there are developers that skip the ratio control altogether (which has to be matched with threshold and make up gain), reasoning that a mix control with automatic gain compensation is equivalent and much easier to use. Reason is actually good for film scoring. Even if it is lacking native video capability it is still possible to use VSTs. I had a lot of fun making my re-scoring of the Westworld scene.
